its ok when my stuff stays in my prop room but i guess she's afraid of people seeing my affliction when they come in the house. :p

a few of my finer pieces seem to have migrated into our living room. :lol

and all but the early Coyle phaser and the Taken artifact came from board brothers who's names my wife will never find out. :angel

Seems a bit busy, maybe you could reduce it down or maybe spread the joy around the rest of the tv room.

I like it. But I'm a bachelor. lol. Remember Reaper, she controls 50 percent of the money and 100 percent of the fun stuff. So plan accordingly.

Would you mind telling the make of the Startrek stuff? Is it all MR?

I like the variety of the display. different imagery. nice.

yall think my Ecenter is clutted you should see my prop room , i am adding new shelves and covered displays. :)

well i want people coming into the house to see them and say " damn i am into scifi too" so i can start a good conversation.

she did fuss over the Seaview but its from a brother in Englandi {Brad, who i very highly recommend his work} i won out. :angel

You are going to kill me, but she is right....it does look cluttered. Space them a bit and remember less is more. Or maybe find an area or two outside of this one to place a prop or two to disperse the "eye"....

The wife is right. It is overdone a bit. Things in front of speakers...too much. It is way too cluttered. I'mnot saying not to show pride in your collection, because you have some nice pieces (aside from that Trek nonsense :p) but as was said...less is more.

You know I really want to support you on this but I have to agree with your wife. The knife on the edge of the unit is really out of place and anything blocking speakers should go too. Go with getting some around the room so the eye does not hit each one of them.

Does look a bit cluttered but IÂ’d say its more the speakers that are the problem. Put the covers back on the speakers to provide a clean un-busy backdrop and pull down the boombox speakers all togetherÂ…

Shoot. I wish my camera was working...you wanna see clutter? Try 2 fully complete proton packs, a ghost trap, 5 busts, a full sized exorcist (wearing a jurassic park hard hat and holding a JP cane) throw in an Indiana jones hat, bag, belt and whip. Now pile that all in the corner of my office.
We maybe moving so I don't want to design my prop room just yet.

I agree with most posters above. IMHO a good prop deserves an uncluttered background. Perhaps you could just hang some colored fabric in front of the speakers.
I would remove the action figures to focus on the props.
The eyes on the head/helmet stand gets more of my attention than the helmet. Maybe you could wrap some lycra (stretchy fabric) over the head to blur the facial features and cover the eyes.

I agree, too cluttered and unfocused. Perhaps consider a theme that changes every month or so. For instance, keep the BSG stuff there for a while, then next month swap it for the Trek, etc... A clean display always catches my eye better.

Maybe a little cluttered.

:angel

The mannequin head for the Battlestar helmet is a little creepy.

:D

I would frame most of that stuff, put it in display cases. Putting stuff in front of speakers looks cluttered. And having more than one theme, and A LOT OF IT going on at the same time... it looks cluttered. It would be different if you had a bunch of lightsabers up there. Or all blasters, or all action figures. There is just too much going on.
