My Tusken Raider Mask - Pic Intense

Well, it only took me about a year to finish but here it is. I actually finished the under-skull sculpt last June and molded it in August. In September, my neighbor machined the eyes, tusks, and head spikes out of aluminum for me. I sculpted and cast the tooth in resin. Then it sat while I worked on Halloween stuff. After Halloween I took some time off. About a month ago I finally cast the under-skull (Smooth-On Task 2) and started working. The snout is covered in lambskin and wrapped in leather. The bandages are dyed denim. The eyes and snout have mesh in them so no one can see in.

It took a lot of work and time, but I really had fun putting it together. Hope you like it.

Nice!! It's been a long time since i've seen someone make a tusken from scratch that looks as bang-up as that one does. awesome work.

That's a scratch build? Holy cow, you should be very proud, you've done a wonderful job, congratulations :thumbsup

Cheers,

Damn, that's awesome. First one I've seen myself to know how the thing's made... how does anyone 'hall costume' in these things? ::chuckle::

Very nice! I built a godzilla kit and it was very time consuming. It really is worth it, though.

That is an amazing mask. Love seeing Tusken props.

Thanks for all the positive feedback! It really was a lot of fun to work on. I've actually put this one on eBay (see Junkyard posting), if anyone is interested. I need some funds to make a few more for a couple of friends.
