Here is a build I just finished. A TOS Phaser Hero. The P-1 is a John Long kit build. The P-2 is scratch built using shells from Sporak over at the Tek Prop Zone.

Here is a picture of the shells as I received them. The rest is my handy work.

The 10 turn I got them several years ago from a member at ASAP and stored them away, it was so long ago I forget... sorry I can't be more helpful!! The side dial is from Nicksdad over at The Trek Prop Zone.

    It's hobby shop sheet brass.

Here it is after I cut it on the band saw.
    photobucket-3676-1325859147697.jpg

Drilled the main hole and ruffed in the slots.
    photobucket-3694-1325860051490.jpg

The cleaned up the slots with a micro file and polished the piece.

Day of the Dove Hero communicator, medical scanner, Charlie X rec room tricorder and of coarse the TMOST phaser. Beem me down, I'm ready to go planet side.

That is a true work of art! Gotta be the best hero replica I have ever seen.
Curious as to how many man hours you put into the build?

I also like you Jewelorama Charlie X tricorder.
Had a question on the 3 colored jewels you used. Are they the correct color sequence?
I have always wondered what color they were. I can never tell when watching the episode.
    Thanks!

Echoing what's been said before - just beautiful!

Which paints did you use? The Zynolyte / Krylon / Citadel combo?
