My take on Netflix Daredevil

It has been a work in progress for few months but I have made great strides to finishing this take. I originally wanted to do this costume when the series hit Netflix and saw the red suit in the last episode. What a awesome suit. I spent a few weeks gathering all photo references I could find and then purchased the patterns and materials needed to start. I started with the body which I found a wetsuit sewing pattern. I then figured to make the upper suit into a vest of sorts. the arm guards and shin guards (not pictured yet) are made from off the shelf craft foam coated in Plasti Dip. The gloves and cowl was purchased. I painted the cowl my self trying to match the fabric color as close as possible. The billly clubs were custom made from scratch utilizing a idea I saw on another post to convert them to nun chucks. I am not completed as of yet but will keep this thread going as I progress through. To be continued......

I have also started a web page with my creations from the last couple of years: www.jerrycp.com

Going through more of my progress pics I found more completed item. Small update. The shoulder plates are made from 1/4" foam which was heated and formed around a small bit of 4" pipe. I tried to carefully apply a parting line around them. Found the rivet like small bits on Esty - shoe lace eyelets. I apple Plastic Dip to the foam and roughed it up slightly for a used look. My take on the "belt buckle". I went cheaper on this, basically its pvc plastic thicken with 1/4" and sprayed sliver paint. The center is elastic covered with Plasti Dip. To be continued...
