How I did it ? I picked up a pack of 100% cotton matt from the drugstore, it actually is some kind of medical supply. I ripped it apart into thin layers and glued the basicshape of the spray to the water surface with standard household glue. Then I carefully glued some more thin layers over each other simply using some pretty sticky hairspray ( again proberty of Mrs. Scooby

A little point of hot-glue holds the fighter to the mounting pole

Re: My 1:72 Star Wars Bandais

That looks amazing!

Were you the same guy that did the Star Trek IV scene with the bird of prey over the fishing boat?

Thr water FX look similar.

Re: My 1:72 Star Wars Bandais

Thank you and nope, I am not into Trek but I think I remember seeing something like you mentioned

Re: My 1:72 Star Wars Bandais

Thanks you and yeah I know. I originally planned to focus on 72. scale, but as I made some serious progress with only two kits left ( Special Ops TIE and TIE Striker ) I switched my building to othet scales and didn't want to start a new thread and I also want to keep all my builds together ;)

Edit : Just figured how to change the title ;)

Inspiring! I am totally going to do my own take on this!

Gosh, studying photos of the studio model, these speeders are even more messed up than the Falcon ;) The Rebels just don´t care about their equipment ( I would make an awesome member ;) )

Check out this pick of one of the Flying Tigers' P-40s:

flying-tiger-and-hells-angel.jpg

The Tigers were constantly in combat, and constantly on the move. The only maintenance they were capable of performing on their planes was engine and skin repairs, and fueling and rearming.
You can see the fuel and oil spills all down the side of the plane, exhaust stains behind the exhaust pipes, spillage from the engine coolant...
You can also see how the sun has faded the paint on the wings and upper surfaces, and where the paint has completely worn off on the walk-way at the wing-root.

Rogue Three reporting in, Wedge´s ride finished. This is even more screwed up than Luke´s :p

Now checkin, how to do a shared display for them. Guess I need to visit the local Model-Train-Store for a pack of snow first ;)

One finished, one to go.

I am looking at purchasing this model off Amazon. What is the size of the completed ship (in inches)? Thanks

After long outtime, I finaly finished my 144 U-Wing

Deco is kind of artisic freedom, as almost EVERY image I studied looked different. :p
Didn´t bother about the tanks yet. I keep them on sprues until I know what to do with them. The TIE Stiker ended build but unpainted on my rear mirror in my car :p :)
