My SST Costume

I final got a good mannequin for my screen used SST costume.
I purchased the suit last year from someone that was selling it on Ebay.
It was almost complete. It was just missing the Gloves, Neck Seal and Suspenders.
I was able to pick those items from Reel Clothes. It also came with the Morita in the photo.
The photo’s where the suit looks purple are the one’s without the flash.

The Jacket says “Razak” and the Paints say “Rasczak” on the tags. The person selling it clams to have
gotten direct from someone at the studio so I have no Certificate of Authenticity.

I ran into Casper Van Dien and Edward Neumeier at Wondercon this year and I had them
autograph my helmet.

Also, if someone is an expert perhaps you could tell me more about my Morita.
Has it been repainted? What’s up with the tip? Is it really from the movie?
Casper mentioned that he thought it had been repainted.

If I am not mistaken, they actually wrote the characters real names, not their character names inside the outfit.

Its a beautiful set of B armor..very crisp.

If thats a foam stunt Morita which it appears to be, its definately been repainted to look more like a live fire Morita.

Not sure whats going on with the tip.

If the Morita is solid resin then its a copy and not original.

From what I understand, the "A" helmet had the ear screen's.
This one is a "B".

I think the Morita may be fiberglass? It is chipped on the bottom of the clip. I think it might be hollow, it weights 4 lbs. 8 oz.

Saxe, Art where are you guys? Could it be a fiberglass recast of a rubber stunt? You probably want to keep everything as is, but there are people who sell replacement screens/mics and flash supressors if you wanted to upgrade. Also Michael Ironside's character was called Lieutenant Jean Rasczak.

I need a pair of ear screens for one of my SST helmets.

I have another replacement parts nightmare.
The TSR200 buckles used on the armor.
I need to contact the original manufacturer because the retailer I was dealing with
literally went out of business in the middle of the deal.
Fortunately, before any money changed hands.

Oh, and another one:
I tried to get on the Reel Clothes website, and a virus attacked my computer....twice!
As I tried to click onto the show all products screen, my computer was shut down and then
restarted with the red ball with an X through it icon and a virus warning
(that is the actual virus itself, based on my previous experience).
I was able to restore my computer to an earlier time both times,
but this thing brought on a full on meltdown that required a system restore about a month ago.
(I lost a lot of stuff, that time.)

I've been searching for SST armor items for my Firefly Alliance Feds.
I mostly look for damaged and incomplete SST armor and helmets because of cost and
it would be a shame to break up a complete nice set like DW Design Studios'.

Member dgasser can set you up with screens, magazine shrouds, and tattoos. Member matsuo can supply you with replacement flash suppressors. Super nice guys.

I would try reelclothes for replacement buckles. Maybe someone at the Whiskey Outpost can give you better contact info? He helped me out with some missing buckles on one of my boots. I guess it all depends on if he has some odball pieces laying around.
