I started to re-build my predator suit and decided to do the classic one from P1

from pepakura patern, this time I did my bio-helmet from fiberglass, did a little research (finally tracked down) on where to buy the materials needed, then just attached it to the helmet with the dreads from my previous bio-mask.

with a bit of brain storming, figured to just buy a cheap rubber shoes and attach foam then covering with acrylic sealant for my predator foot then detailed it with a chisel point permanent marker.

the biggest hurdle for me was making the body suit, I want it to look organic... latex rubber is out of the question since it cost too much here in the Philippines, so with the result I got from making my predator foot, I went ahead and bought a log sleeved shirt with matching pants (undershirt) then spray glued foam for the bulging muscles and then applied black acrylic sealant and white acrylic sealant respectively to the color of parts. since I still haven't got a compressor for my airbrush, I just used ordinary spray paint cans for the color and used again my chisel point permanent marker for the details.

yup, that's me test fitting the suit

applied the same technique for the hand, used white pair of gloves then used a bit thinner rubber sheet (foamies) for the nails (applied black nail polish to make the nails rigid)

attended cosmania here (October 6, 2013) and was so overwhelmed to how people were amazed with the costume I made, but for me... "making the predator suit was fun part"! :D

Wow that wicked,if you don't mind me asking whare did you get the templates, for, your armor and canon?

the armors are mostly just from reference photos, I did a pepakura back pack pattern (found here at hunterslair) but only used it for size reference.
with the canon, just looked at the various photos from here and at the internet.

thanks!
under the bio-mask I attached/glued foam and shaped it using just a sharp scissor that would look like the lower jaw of a predator then applied acrylic sealant to make it appear organic/skin then spray painted it. also applied acrylic sealant at the front of the bonnet that I wore.

Thats some awesome work. and for just basing a lot off reference pics very nice. Grats on your completed suit.

Thanks folks.

I decided to scrap my muscle suit and this time had the foam covered with fabric (to protect the foam) then hand sewn to the undershirt

just need to add the shoulders (foam) then it's ready for acrylic sealant application and spray painting.

done with the sewing, test fitting with the armor and all is good (flipped the photo). time to get my hands dirty and apply the sealant...

thanks!
also, the best thing is that I washed the suit (on a washing machine) also spin-dried and the acrylic sealant stayed on the fabric ;)

Damn and i thought sculpting was hard . that looks wicked . I don't have the patience for that . It would end up in the trash if tried that . great job man.
