The Fiji Mermaid - one of the most famous hoaxes of the 19th Century. It was the torso of a monkey expertly sewn on to the back part of a fish :lol

I think this was in an episode of the X-Files, one where they were investigating freak show murders or something.

And if it wasn't, who cares :lol ! It's friggin'cool :cool

The Mrs. loves it :lol !

Been a while since a little update, but we've had a local heatwave and I felt like doing nothing except swim practically all day .... not even take photos :lol

The heat seems to have subsided today, so I finished off some items I got and took a few pics

Also, a disclaimer : My laptop is being repaired at the moment, so I am using the Mrs' laptop. If any of the photos look to have the contrast etc totally off .... it's not my fault, the display settings suck on this laptop, so I am guesstimating the 'looks' :lol

Anyways, first up, a really heavy stainless steel Superman Emblem from a trade with hankey01. Looks great near Chris' Crystal :thumbsup

Also in a trade, with Protoss, a couple of Isolinear Rods from Star Trek DS9

And from Star Trek Voyager, here is a bottle that was used in the episode "Darkling", in the Bar on the Mikhal Traveller's Outpost.

They were also used in Star Trek DS9 in Dr. Bashir's quarters .. and lord knows where else, as the props went from series to series in a heartbeat every time :lol
