Well, I finally have a helmet of my very own !
I just finished up this sucker along with most of the upper armor pieces.
As you can see, I've updated a few Items on the helmet like the greeblies and the decal on the side of the visor. Take my word for it, it's accurate. A special thankyou to Jon/Shunned.
With this helmet I took a rather different approach to the weathering and washing technique.
I base painted the main color and camo along with all the layered damage as well, then I took a drastic approach and did a stain
I noticed the BARC helmets and armor have a "light green" sheen or stain to them. Using Citidel inks, instead of washing in black I used a green stain instead then weathered it with pastels and airbrush. I then lightly sanded the edges and weathered it further and sealed it with first a coat of satin then misted dull coat in certain areas.
