For Halloween I decided to re build the Perseus outfit. I was originally going to buy the costume online because I didn't want to stress about a last minute costume a week before Halloween. The Perseus costume online was such a expensive piece of crap I decided to build it myself...and it was alot of fun! It took me 3 weeks to put together at 3-4hours per day.
I printed out a few references pictures and bought 4 large sheets of card board paper which I used as a template. I drew out the design and then cut it out. After I went out to buy some materials. I bought One large piece of foam from the foam shop, A fake leather jacket from value village, 8 sheets of craft foam, a cheap hot-glue gun from Canadian tire, glue sticks, 10 packs (containing 8 buttons per) of 25cent buttons, one can of black and silver spray paint...oh and a 10$ half-mannequin torso.
This was a ton of fun and I think I'll be building my costumes from now on....I'll just have to start 8 months earlier.
Let me know what you guys think. Any tips or suggestions that will make things easier the next time?
