My P1 Bio Budget Build -Final Update Complete See Page 2

hey serenity you need to keep deals to pms. we are not supposed to talk about selling outside the Buy & Sell forum.

Quick Update.....

Just a quick one not much to update on at the mo but I noticed that the center scalp area of my bio was a lil square when it should be more rounded so added a long thin strip of cardboard along the center of the bio from front to back (see pictures) covered over tightly with masking tape which allowed me to create a more rounded sort of shape Also, just a few snaps showing the dry bio and the working laser LEDS.

Enjoy

Update!!!!!!

Just finished adding in the finer details into the bio. I using a wet sponge and some black paint, I sponged in the areas that needed shading or a darker tone and blended these out. I then sponged and blended over the mask using a darker silver followed by a lighter silver and this is what I ended up with:

I am now going to cover the bio in some sort of glossy lacquer and then added some mesh for the visor. Will update then.

Let me know what you think. (y)

You could used thin white card but not sure how that would pan-out as the CB was used mainly as an under-structure (or skeleton if you will) to hold every thing up and in place to allow the overlay pieces to go in place.

If you make it out of white card, it can be reinforced using resin or bondo. The bio that I made here is currently being 'bondo-d' to remove any imperfection, reinforce it a lil etc.

Not saying that using white card can't be done - it probably can but I would go with cardboard. Cereal boxes are thinner than rigid cardboard but that can be used to.

Good luck my friend

Update

My bio recently went under modificatons for reinforcement purposes and to fill any uneven areas or imperfections that were visible. I used a type of bondo equivalent over the front of the bio. I then sanded that down, adding in some battle damage in places and repainted using primer and Aliminium Gloss Plati-kote spray pant. Then I added dark silver and black for shadowing. Also added some airhose to finish it off. This is what I got...

Apologies for the delay in posting and the picture quality.

I am impressed! Makes me want to try a cardboard build for my first bio attempts.

Thanks fella, it was a bit of and pain in areas (cardboard is a lil unforgiving sometimes) but the final piece is well worth it.

Good luck with your build my friend
