My collection as of now.

Damn, I’ve always thought that the old Viper Mk II was the best designed space dog fighter of all time. I do like the newer Battlestars from the recent series but the Mk II Viper just works for me.

Better than an X-wing or any other Star Wars fighter and definitely better than the newer Viper Mk VII.

And these models look awesome.

WONDERFUL! I love it! I think your way of mixing the two kits is THE way to go. This is the perfect way to combine "the best of both worlds" (Moebius & Revellogram). Bravo! :)

I made 3 in the last three months. I was gonna stop at two, but then I did some homework, and realized that combining them (along with extensive modification) was the only way I was ever gonna be entirely satisfied. In this picture you can see the others turned out nice, but the mix of the two kits (in front) is clearly superiour.

I've been scaling up some measurements of the studio models and the revell front end is the closest match with the mobius rear. Not sure how many folks have tried it This one is awesome which is why I plan on doing my own.

Yeah, it worked out better than I could have hoped.
I have one more Revell nose fuselage that I'd used for testing paint & panel scribing that I was ready to toss (and all the other junk left over from my last three Viper builds) when I suddenly realized that getting another old Revell kit might not be that easy later, so I checked and yeah, they are in the $50 to $70 range right now... $50? Well heck, I can refurbish this one piece for that kind of money! And it's really the only part I can't fix on the Moebius kit... so here I go again!

First, the felgercarb work... I needed to cut & sand the clear insert parts to sink them deeper in to the cans... this piece will ultimately be removable for battery replacement.
