Tomorrow the reddish-orange markings go on.
Okay, here it is.LORDS OF KOBOL!!! That looks incredible.
Really looking forward to the weathering job.
Cheers,
Ted.
Here's the stand when I finished making it (but before I painted it) in case you're interested.
Borrow away! The trick is getting the front part sturdy- make sure surfaces to be glued are in full contact, no spaces for glue to pool and weaken the structure.Yes, thanks!
I may have to "borrow" that idea
I sometimes get torn between displaying with or without landing gear I generally prefer in flight, but it is nice to have something like this to quickly swap in once in a while
I used spray gray primer first, the after it dried for a day I used a combo of flat gray & flat white until it looked the right shade to me, but also had a delightful unevenness to it that I desired. What color did you use for a base coat?
I NEVER use decals unless I'm forced to. They're painted on.And did you paint the orange stripes? Or decals?
Dave, are you a RIDICULOUS fan like I am? I just *NEEDED* a Viper with near-perfect lines, and this was the only way I could see to get there. I've researched the filming miniatures on byyourcommand.net ENDLESSLY, and this was the answer to my problems... it worked out better than I could have hoped.Awesome build I have both the revell and mobius kits I had never thought of combining the two I'll have to get some 3 view pics and have a bash myself.
