It is based on this making of from my second board.

(it was my fist build video. The video is pretty basic and mostly have pictures in it. Still gives an idea of the process)

 
Lovely! Do you follow the same route? Or do you find you discover new ways of doing something on this?

I made 3 so far. Every time, I do try to find new way to mostly optimise the way I build things. But since I make one every year or so, I often forget how I made it the first time :)
 
Curiously, now I am remaking one of these jumanji boards from Markpoon at the request of a client, just retouching the paint and resculpting the front covers
 
That font is Copperplate.
Wouldn't be hard at all recreate that in illustrator, give you nice crisp type.

Board looks great, though.

It doesn't need to be super crisp. The result will be a bit blurry anyway on the wood. It's good enough but yeah, You could make it crisper if you feel like it. No doubt.
