My latest Hardware Lightsaber

hello boys... it seems like i'm specializing in Hardware Sabers, this is my fifth saber, and i believe the nicest so far. It is made from parts found in hardware stores here in italy, but i believe these parts are pretty easy to find anywhere.

Hydraulic tube/rubbers, garden pipings, some good looking screw and the emitter is an aluminum shape to cook Cannoli in the oven :)

nothing is glued or painted, to ensure durability and there's a covertec clip.

Comments? :)

p.s.: if somebody likes it very much i would consider putting it in the Junkyard :cool

That looks great! All the parts work so well with each other. Would you happen to have any "in progress" photos?

deadlast, yes, the junkyard is a section in which things can be bought/sold.

I like it. I tend to do hardware sonic screwdrivers but have been wanting to try my hand at a lightsaber. This might be the inspiration. I recognize a piece or two but would like to see some in progress pics too.

thank you guys! I'm trying to find some progress photo, but i can't find any, i usually take them but this saber was a really quick built... i started collecting the parts maybe one year ago and put everything in my bitbox, then a week ago i got inspired and basically i took a stick of wood and mounted all the parts on it.

i'm happy you like it :)
(getting a nice feedback from the RPF members is always a burst to my selfesteem!) :lol

Grazie a te Jedi Reali :cool

I always like seeing hardware sabers! I've got a few myself and they are definitely fun to build. You did a great job on that one.

Awesome work, man! That honestly one of THE nicest hardware saber designs I've ever seen. The only thing I (personally) would have done different is flip the emitter around so you have a thin neck and a wide opening like an OWK saber. But like I said, it's merely personal preferance. I love your saber!

It's good to see people doing hardware sabers again.

thanks for the nice words :)

You are right, actually this saber started as an OWK look-alike and the inverted emitter was in the first mock-up i made, but then i added the "cannoli" handguard and i felt the emitter fit better the way it is now... wouldn't the handguard been added the emitter would have totally been in the inverted position :thumbsup

Well, regardless, it's made its way into my sacred ligtsaber reference folder. I think there are only two other hardware sabers in there.

Yep, easily one of the nicest harware sabers I've ever seen. Quite inspiring... time to dig my "in progress" sabers out of the closet.
