My large x wing prop build ☺

Thanks guys Yep life can be cruel or things happen for a reason as they say,but my daughters and my props keep me going in my spare time I'm lucky I carmaker things I only figured that out summer-Autumn 2017 as well.
 
ok so its on like donkey Kong! rear top side panel removed and the bottom one was too just before it and i cut a slot the length of the wing piece going into the x wings body. also the thickness of the wing down the way but allowed for the fact that i want the wing to sit in attack position. so by making the depth of the slot a few millimetres more than thickness of the wing that accounts for that. i had to revisit this a couple of times to get the slot right but that's how it goes.

Mark, she’s a beauty. Really shaping up nicely. Keep on at it, you crazy fella! Can’t wait to see how you solve the rest of it.

Love the Speeder Bike too, btw.
Was always trying to make them out of Lego.

i will see it through of course and make more in the future although it will be tough to make bigger ones than this although size isnt everything plus i would soon run out of room lol.
thanks the speeder bike was my first build back in 2017 before that the most i built was a cup holder or a chopping board at school lol i knew i wasnt to bad with my hands but i shocked myself id no idea i could do this at all till i tried. i wanted a life size speeder bike id seen one on here made was a good while before i made mine. i Couldnt find one anywhere for sale and decided id make my own lol. the rest as history as they say lol.
imagine a lego lifesize speeder bike how awsome would that be!

Mark,sorry for saying this,but I got the impression that the wings perhaps are too small compared to the rest of the ship,or is that just a matter of misleading perspective? Just wondering...

i was meaning making props in general when wrote that bit you have quoted.
no it must just appear that way i have taken measurements from toy which was like 16 inch x 14 inch and transfered that into feet and made it.
all other measurements was done the same way too. the angle is possibly deceiving i think yep.
the wings will go inside the body of the x wing by a foot at least so i have option also to pull wings out by another few inches if had too but it must be the angles so far i think that's deceiving ya.

at at walker would b cool i cant fit that in i dont think lol

both bottom wings are in place i am able to put them a couple more inches more into the body or i can take them out by up to mabye 6 inches if needed but they seem fine just now its quite deceiving from certain angles.

ye i think size wise this could be the centre piece. i would love to have the falcon cockpit and mabye some corridor added onto it. one day i hope i can have one sofa king will sort me out with one lol
