A private mousse-fer-homme thread for froggy members :lol ?
I was suited up for kindergarten's carnival, and a 8yo boy whisped shyly in his mother's hear "hey mom, does this man really can fly ?" :cool
So keep on cutting, gluing, painting, you'll find an hundredfold reward in the eyes of childrens.

Looks really good! Can I ask your physical stats and what scale you are using on the foam files?

    Thank you for your encouragement!

I measure 1.75 meters to meet wraslor

    At present, I realized:
    - The two forearms (OK finish)
    - The two shoulder pads (finish 50%)
    - The chest (50% finish)
    - The back (OK finish)
    - The Cod piece (OK finish)
    - The abs (finish OK)
    - The helmet (50% finish)

I used these files in version A4 paper 160gr/mm found here:
    http://www.therpf.com/f24/robo3687-iron-man-mark-4-6-pepakura-128147/

After cutting, I stuck it between some cutting to get better on cutting the foam.

I used foam sheets 2mm thick for a better finish (see the back, the abs, the chest, ...)

Here are some photos to show my progress

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

    The way I did :

On these two photos, we do not see my face because I do not want my friends know me before the Halloween party. After this, I will show my face again ... A +

    Hey man !
    good work so far !
I'm into a french build too, and I'd like to know what did you use for the painting.
It seems you applied some PVA glue at first, but then ?
    Thanks for your help !

Hi Tony, thank you for your message!
Yes I used PVA glue (3 layers mini) and painting, I used a spray paint bought at LIDL for 2.50 € / bomb.

    OK thanks,
I've just bought the same bottle :)

So, you don't use plastidip for not the foam to crack ? your PVA layers are enough you think ? If it is, I don't have to apply plastidip, wich is very toxic I heard...

No, I do not use the plastidip because it is expensive 1 and 2 it is toxic.
This wood glue is perfect € 6.10 bottle of 1L.
When you use this glue on the foam pad, it is white and when dry it becomes translucent and smooth surface condition of the carpet. This is why 3 layers minimum.
Viewing pictures but previous look forearm before drying of glue and after painting.

Hi guys, I finally installed the light in the plastron. I used 3 light type DO-IT but bought at LIDL I cut into two pieces to recover the triangle of 3 LEDs. After I placed and stuck the triangles in each corner of the faceplate. Then I cut a piece of plexi transparent triangle I sanded to make it opaque. Here are some pictures of my progress.
