My Indy Gear...

Oh okay the one I was looking at must be cheap stuff.. This is what was in it:

x1 Indiana Jones Fedora (100% fur felt, hat size of 7 1/2 or 60cm)
x1 Indiana Jones Khaki Shirt (size XXL)
x1 Indiana Jones Trousers (silk pants, waist 46cm)
x1 Indiana Jones Leather Jacket (100% leather, jacket size 52)
x1 Indiana Jones Weapons Belt (46 waist)
x1 Indiana Jones Whip & Revolver Holster (no revolver included)
x1 Indiana Jones Authentic Bullwhip (cowhide, high quality and crackable)
x1 Indiana Jones Satchel (with attached strap)
x2 Indiana Jones Artificially Worn Work Gloves
x2 Indiana Jones Boots (high quality, power-laces)

for me 2000$ 4 hats, 2 whip...and more

the pants, 4 holsters, 2 shirts, 1 belt, 2 belts pants Noël Howard
2 bag Nôël Howard
2 jackets Wested
shoes

the long list...

photos soon.

Over the years I've spent collecting it I've bought:

5 hats
2 jackets
2 shirts
1 pair of pants
2 pairs of boots
2 holsters
2 bags
2 straps
2 gun belts

Although to be fair I'm sort of a vendor and actually made my final belt, strap, and holster myself. Total amount of cash spent was definitely over $2000, don't know the exact figure.

How much do you guys generally spend on a complete Indy Costume had my eye on on for $750..

Todd's Costumes has pretty much everything you'd need for an Indiana Jones costume, at extremely reasonable prices. If you're looking to put together a costume I'd suggest checking him out.

The only gear piece he doesn't have available yet is trousers, but I know he's working on them...

Agreed. Todd's is a 'one stop shop' for all your Indy gear needs - with the pants coming soon.
His items will give you a professional representation of what you see in the movies, though some items could be upgraded to higher-end quality items. Don't skimp on the Hat.
Some of the best, cost effective Indy headwear is the Akubra Federation IV and Christy's Adventurer (which has a better SA color than the Akubra, but less durable).
The Fedora is the single most important piece to the whole ensamble, so if you have the time and money to spare, go with a handmade version from Penman Hats. At $275 for a hand made rabbit felt Indy fedora, it's the best price on the hand-made market.
If you don't want to wait four or five months for the hand made version, but want a quality high-end factory made hat that meets the standards of Indiana Jones purists, the only choice is the 'Henry' from Adventurebilt. I think it's $285 now and as long as your size is in stock, it ships right away. The Henry is what I am wearing in my pics.

Ya look like a young Liberace ... and I mean that in the nicest possible way.
Dull down the belt buckle and you are ready!

Looks great. I'd recommend sliding your buckle down a few inches though to get the bag a little lower.

Also, I think you could pull off a good Mal from Firefly.

Funny, I heard someone once say (and it sounded good to me) that they should reboot or pass the Indy torch like they have with Bond and that Fillion would be a good choice. I could totally see him as Indy.

Very nice outfit man. I dressed up once as Indy for a Halloween party, but it was NO WHERE this good!

I have dressed as Indy many times on Halloween- Always a great choice- crowd pleasing and very comfortable!!

I actually just sent back that bag strap for an exchange. There was a mixup and I was sent the standard Raiders version and not the 'aged' Streets Of Cairo (SOC) version. Plus, like a complete moron, I had cut the leather down so it was the right length because I did not know I was supposed to loop it through for the sliding buckle to work :$
But let me say it her first that Wade Egan is an extrodinarily generous man and his customer service is right up there with Indy Magnoli and John Penman - these are the guys that really set the standard for how vendors should conduct business. Wade was generous enough to offer me a replacement strap despite my dimwitted modification of it.
I will have more pictures to post once my gear becomes more complete.
I appreciate the compliments - I fugured I did not want to get in the habbit of buying gear components over and over again like others have, just to get it right - I wanted to get it right the first time, or as best as I could afford!

I cannot recommend contacting John Penman for any hat needs enough. I am convinced his REAL name is Bestcustomerserviceever :lol.

In all seriousness, he is one of the nicest people I have ever purchased anything from and is a wealth of information. You will not regret it!

And on the seventh day, God rested...because he knew that on the 8th day, he would creat John Penman.
Not really, but you know what I mean:lol

I recently got my Indy jacket from Toddscostumes.com
This jacket is not only the most cost-friendly Indy jacket on the market, but it really makes a perfect Raiders jacket, the design, color, the way it drapes on the body is perfect!
I haven't yet been able to take pics of me wearing it with the rest of my gear, but here it is with my fedora and street clothes. It's a cool jacket in its own right even worn without Indy gear:

Why so serious?

I love leather Jackets - I really want the X-1, but I have always wanted an Indy style Jacket. Can someone give me some good links to some "good enough" leather Jackets. Any Indy movie is fine, but on the lower cost end. They could even be current auctions- I just want to get a grasp of what you all think is "decent" without going full blown SA

Thanks in advance,
