My humble show off thread 2

[Coinprop]

Now I have got a few more pieces to my little prop cornor in the basement.
I whent to IKEA this weekend and got myself 2 shelfs, I think they are pretty cool...they just come right out of the wall.

Anyway, some new things added...thanks to friends from this forum I just love this place.

Enjoy.

Looks great - the best displays are always those where 'less is more' IMO - not cluttered, tasteful - this is what I am trying to achieve with my own collection, thanks for the pics.

Very cool. The lighting and minimalistic decor truly give the room that museum gallery feel. :thumbsup

And those ceiling pipes really lend themselves well to a spacecraft's walkway, or perhaps a set from Brazil... Just a thought.

Questions:

Where's that gas mask from?

Is that a Veron-tee disruptor on the shelf? If so, please post a close-up.

Is the space below the Y-Wing sketch reserved for the MR ss model? :love

Yes, it is LACK shelvs.

I know :lol thank god it's just a storeroom back there, so we dont use that door that much.

The gasmask is from one of the creatures in the Cantina in ANH, I think his name is Pluto?.

The thing on the shelf is a blaster from ROTJ, my original prop :love

I thought about the ss Y-wing, but I dont know...they take up to much space, and I like to keep it kind of clean.

a metal plate with metal rod extrusions is fastened to the wall and the 'hollow' wooden shelf is slid into it....

Love the shelves.

You can find similar ones at most large hardware stores (Lowes, Menards, Home Depot) if you dont have an IKEA near by to go to. The one I found at lowes.com are 24.99 for 36"x10"x2" white or black colors. I really like the look of the floating shelves as it gives it a clean look with out ugly brackets sticking out every place.

I was noticing the pipes too. If done right for decoration they might look pretty cool in a prop room . hmmmm

The room's stucco walls kind'a reminds me of Echo base on Hoth, from SW-ESB.
Maybe you could add some fake ice to the pipes and shelves and a "Warning: Live Wampas"-sticker to the door.

That is one great idea... :love I will see if I can get some images of the sticker...does anyone have a screen grab?? Or know what the text say on the sign?
