My Harry Potter replica collection

Hi everyone! I'm new to the RPF and thought I'd show my Harry Potter replica collection. I don't just collect HP replicas, but pretty much anything and everything Harry Potter. Take a look and let me know what you think!

Thanks :)

Thanks for sharing! I dig that Triwizard Cup... Which version is that? I also like the mini Hedwig on top of the wand case. :)

Re: My Harry Potter replica collection - nowhere89

Thanks! The Triwizard Cup is the one from The Wizarding World [it also lights up blue].

Re: My Harry Potter replica collection - nowhere89

Wow very nice! Lots of variety there.

Sorry, couldn't resist. :lol

Re: My Harry Potter replica collection - nowhere89

Yours is much nicer!! Mine is sadly only made of plastic..but I still love it!

Re: My Harry Potter replica collection - nowhere89

Of course it's nicer. It's molded from the screen used original. :lol

You probably saw it if you've been to the park. (hence the joke).

:unsure Uh, okay...I didn't realize we were trying to one-up each other...

Re: My Harry Potter replica collection - nowhere89

Sorry, didn't mean it that way. I've been working 18hrs a day for 4 weeks straight and just decided to have a little fun.

But no, I wasn't trying to one-up you. It was just meant as an inside joke about the prop replicas that Universal is offering at the parks. Obviously I'm a little too punch-drunk to be very funny, so I'll let you in on it.

I made most of the key props for the Wizarding World and we had discussions about taking molds from my work and offering them as high-end props to park goers. The joke is that they went from that high-quality concept to offering only mass produced toys instead. The reason that is funny is because of how much they scaled down the entire park from the original designs. The toy props are kind of analogous of how the whole project came together. Start with a big idea and then make it smaller, and smaller, and smaller, and smaller, and then Olivander's is now a broom closet.

It's still a cool prop collection, I'm not knocking you for that at all. I was just laughing at Universal.

Re: My Harry Potter replica collection - nowhere89

Thanks for filling me in, I had no idea they did that. [but I guess I shouldn't be surprised lol]

Sorry for being overly sensitive :$

Not at all. I was being very vague and cheeky and it was pretty clear why you would think that I was slamming you. It was my bad, not yours.

But back to the joke...

The Olivander's thing (at least I think that's the right name) was seriously funny. It was originally supposed to be a full sized walk-in shop with an interactive show. But week after week it kept getting scaled down until it was literally just a guy standing in front of a broom closet filled with boxes. They whittled that room down a foot at a time for six months until it wasn't even a room anymore.

But to put the joke back into perspective, this is the quiditch set your could have been getting if they hadn't scaled that down too.

Wow, that's crazy! And it's really too bad that they did that...seriously disappointing...

Re: My Harry Potter replica collection - nowhere89

You could still do a run of those props here (we won't tell WB);)

Re: My Harry Potter replica collection - nowhere89

That is a beautiful collection :) You have a picture signed by Dan, Emma, and Rupert???!!!! COOL! out of everything you have, I only have Harry, Ron, and Hermione's wands, and the Gringotts coins. I want it all though! I've never been to WWoHP unfortunately :(

Thanks so much!
If you can't get to the WWoHP, they do offer a lot of the merch on their online store. :)

Re: My Harry Potter replica collection - nowhere89

Beautiful collection! You need to get a replica model of hogwartz castle! It'll compliment your collection very well ;)

No kidding, the entire Wizarding World is too ****ing small. The floor space for each shop and area should be a minimum of double the current size. Ollivanders is patheticly small.
