Well this is my first attempt at a hardware blaster, I know that it is nowhere close to screen accurate but I think that it looks pretty good.

man, that's pretty slick. any tips on what to use for the barrel? and did you make your own templates for the plywood cutouts? very good looking.

In the pics the wood grain and lam layers on the plywood really sticks out, not sure how it is in person. I've had good success with bondo to fill in the wood grain and end grain of painted peices.

man that is cool though and for trooping I bet way easier to carry.
