Spend a few afternoons working on this thing. We're having some friends over for a Star Wars Halloween party..so this is my costume. I didn't wanna just be a Jedi or something easy. Man this is going to be awkward. Bathroom time will be a challenge. ;)

I updatred my blog yesterday (Oct 29th) with a day after the party pic. Now that Im done with the costume..what do I do with it. Gonna be tought to throw it away..

That is completely cool. You need to sell some plans for that thing. Tutorial? :thumbsup

Haha...all I did was find paper plans online...(http://scott.the-strongs.net/show_portfolio.asp?ID=51) SCALED them up in autocad....kind of by guessing. Cut out shapes, taped them together and glued them to poster board. I completely ignored the base the head sits on...and I made the legs a bit smaller relative to the head (bobblehead version).

The lower legs I needed someting flexible so I just got some sweatpants and drew some lines on them for some detail. Duct tape and packing tape to hold it all together....

i wanted to be a probe droid...but couldnt find plans.

I think I will have to make that Battle Droid one day soon....

Work work work.

YES. Guns on the forearms would be SWEET.

I love how the pumpkin on the counter is Darth Vader.

You need a snowtrooper helmet to go on your head instead of the don post vader helmet. That would match up to the real ATST helmets. Dan Laws coult totally make you the helmet easily. That would RULE. The goggles look awesome.
You might wear skin tight black sleeves and add the forearm guns. You could probably win a costume contest or two with that thing. It would be awesome if you had sound effects to go with the walking and shooting.

I also like the idea of having a stuffed ewok on your leg. HAHA.

Thanks guys.

I WILL wear black socks for guns...ewok....gotta find a teddy bear. ;) The vader lid is actually the voice changer helmet..I just primed it grey. I honestly think I might leave it off....the costume is uncomfortable as it is... Sound FX would rule...

Brilliant.

When I was a kid, one of my friends went dressed as a guy driving a car -- so he had a cardboard car strapped to his body. Yours is even cooler.

I cannot see them, I get "forbidden error 403" :(

EDIT: Now I see it. That rocks. Well done.

I was just thinking a Wookie mask would be funny. Like when Chewie walks up in one on ROTJ and pops his head out. Also, you can grab a couple of SW trooper blasters from WlaMart or TRU and just hold them in your hands. You would have "blaster" sound and light effects too. I guess you could tape them to your arms as well.

Nice Pumpkin, but what are those things in the jar on the right...or do I want to know? :confused
