My Gremlins Collection...2012 style

Well, Instead of making an entirely new thread, I figured I would just update this one..

Unfortunately my collection website isn't what it used to be these days (as in the page doesn't work) I figured I would just retake some pics of what I had, and add some new stuff :)

Ever since I was a kid and saw Gremlins in the theater, I've always wanted to have what the toys could never be, realistic looking gremlins.. Yes I've had pretty much everything I could get my hands on at the time, but the franchise faded out, and time past...

Then I came across this forum by chance and noticed that someone named Ronculus made 1:1 scaled mogwai, Gizmo and Stripe, and I had to have them...Then he produced all of the other Mogwai from Gremlins 2 which I had to have, and I did...

I then managed to pick up one of these slightly undersized Gremlins skulls from Ebay

and one of these Embryo's cast from the screen used piece by Forum member Batgremlin

I had always hoped someone would create a 1:1 reptile version from the first movie, and then Ronculus came out with this which I was very satisfied with even tho it isn't 100% screen accurate

Then, last year, Batgremlin came out with a 1:1 screen accurate G1 gremlin which I was going to own one way or another, so I placed an order with him a couple of months ago, and endured the long wait, and then one of my "Holy Grails" has arrived a couple of days ago..And ofcourse, I just HAD to order 2!! I knew I wanted to display one as Stripe, and the other as a generic Gremlin, so I asked him to vary the paint job slightly and give each one a unique look...

Sacha aka Batgremlin, has been a great person to do business with, always keeping up with communications, and making his customers happy, and I will surely do business with him again :thumbsup :thumbsup

Here is the old "famliy portrait" with all the mogwai and the Jun Planning Stripe

I will be taking a new "family portrait" with the same mogwai and the newest reptile versions

Beautiful Collection. :)

I KNOW you keep a padlock on the fridge at night. ;)

Very cool :)

I love Gremlins but never have looked into them as collectables. What is the story behind these, are they one-off fan creations, made from kits, licensed replicas? Just curious, i have a few family members that I think might really enjoy having a nifty Gremlin :)

Very cool collection... though it seems that not all of the pics are working... I see a good number of "Image Hosted by Angelfire" icons.

Strange - the pics work fine for me. Maybe there was a temprary prob with the server?

The Gremlins collection looks great, very nice.

Hey there, Thanks for all the comments guys......

Ghadrack, All of the mogwai and the large 25" reptile Stripe were made by a board member here by the name of Ronculus....

The smaller reptile Stripe which is 19" was a japanese exclusive made by Jun Planning, only a small number were made in the brown color, but you can find the brighter green coloered one on ebay

The Embryo is supossedly cast of the original prop, and was purchased from a guy over sea's

The gremlin skull I believe is a ceramic recast from the GreyZon kit that was available a few years back

Great collection. Ron does some AWESOME work.

Wish I could find one of those embryos, that's pretty cool. Never seen one of those before.

Thank you Rob. You're the only one who has every variation I've made both sitting and standing.
And thanks everyone for the kind words and for bringing them home.

Best regards,

Ron
