My Green Lantern props

I got the idea for these about a month ago and have finally gotten them to this stage. I figured that every soldier needs dog tags.

They are still pretty rough and need to be polished, but I thought I would post them to get some feedback. If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve them all ideas are welcome.

I plan on doing one for each corps once I get the kinks worked out of the designs.

Thanks Eradicator. I originally thought about making them hollow and putting an led inside to shine out around the logo. But it did't take long to realize that those would be some pretty thick dog tags.

I'm not sure about a run. Maybe if there is enough interest, we'll just have to wait and see.

I like the idea of dog tags. The costumes are supposed to be solid light, but in death, when the ring leaves, the costume leaves the body of the fallen Lantern. Under these circumstances, having dog tags that do not disappear with a ring's departure is actually a superb idea!

Excellent, I love it! I would love to see the Planet also marked on it, because there is only one Lantern per Planet I think? Maybe to mark "TERRA" on it?
I would be interested in a pair of Hal Jordan Dog Tags. Maybe you can cast them in a translucent Green Urethane?

I think a greenish / yellowish metal look would look good. I like acrylic too , but everything is done with it when it comes to GL.

mark me as interested in a GL one if a run happeans I think a lot of GL fans will like this idea.

Actually, there is one Lantern per sector, or at least there use to be. Now it is two per sector as each Lantern has a partner from the same sector. The universe is divided into 3600 sectors. Each Lantern, or pair of Lanterns now, patrols his or her home sector. Hal Jordan received his ring from Abin Sur, the previous GL of sector 2814, which is where Earth is. Abin Sur was not from Earth but Earth was still part of his assigned patrol.

Having said all that, putting the planet's name on it is still an idea worth considering.

In the current Blackest Night storyline at least one Lantern that died did not have his costume disappear. There may have been more , but I noticed this one and it bugged me for the exact reasons that you state. Then I had the idea about the dog tags.

My totally made up explanation is that after so many deaths during the Sinestro Corps War the Guardians decided to issue the dog tags to make it easier to retreive bodies in the future. When a GL dies in the far reaches of space his ring leaves him, but the dog tag sends out a beacon so that he can be found. It also has enough residual power to keep the suit on. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :rolleyes

I thought about this, but thought it might be overkill. Someone else suggested just coloring the symbols. I think this might look better, but of course it would be harder to do.
