Getting ready for Celebration V and have been upgrading my Han Solo ANH costume. One of the upgrades I wanted was a new blaster. I've been carrying an ESB blaster and wanted something proper for the costume.
After reading several of the threads on the forum about blasters I started contacting people about getting parts. After comparing prices for parts, availability of parts, and what I would be able to fabricate, I decided to go with the Greedo Killer version.
Corellian exports hooked me up with a grill and a set of plans for the scope mount. I found an M9 flash hider on Gunbroker on my first search. Got a Mauser off eBay for cheap. Metal bits for the mount at Sky Craft for less then $8. Had a Weaver rail and scope rings laying around.
Here are my metal bits and plans with notes converting from metric to inch.
The Weaver rail had to be cut to length, bottom sanded flat, and new notch for the scope ring cut.
Grill from Corellian exports. Very nice cast.
Found an aluminum bushing at Sky Craft that had an internal dia the exact size of the barrel where I wanted the Flash Hider to sit. The external Dia fit the Flsh Hider perfect. I rigged the bushing up to my dremal tool and used a file and sandpaper for a makeshift lathe. I turned the end down to sit inside the flash hider instead of cutting it back. Also thinned down the rear flange.
Finished the mount assembly tonight.
Test fit all parts I have.
Now I'm just waiting to get my scope from adamata once he gets his run finished. Then I do paint and final assembly.
More updates to come.
