Had to make this mask in 2 days for halloween, you all have inspired so many projects for me I wanted to give back.

I started trying to make the mask out of papier mache but got way to impatient due to the time constraint, so I moved on to using vinyl records which i melted to make more pliable for the initial shape, lots of hot glue, aluminum foil, rondo for durability, sculpey, then more rondo, acrylic and spray paint.
This is my first post....in any forum... so go easy on me :) Eventually I want to make one more screen accurate but for now just knowing it was possible made me happy. Hope ya'll enjoy, and if you have questions please feel free to ask!

Also, has anyone nailed down the fur?

Nice Job :)

Better than any job I could have made of it! Fur wise, speak to Art Andrews for advice on that one, He's the resident Frank expert now. You're looking for a longish grey/black with frosted tips.
My Frank fur is this - https://www.fabricdepot.com/index.php?page=ProductPage&pageid=210646
But Art's is closer.

Just depends on how close/accurate you want it really. For the ultimate in Frank reference, Go here -

I admire anyone taking on that task for themselves as it's near impossible to get right. People have a tendancy to want to even things up, But Frank isn't like that. He's organic and wonky and almost looks badly made close up; there's also a wierd sort of line-y effect that shows up in some photos.

Like Art, I was a frustrated bunny with the versions people had made, the tendancy is to make it too small also, The mask is huge. I am happy to say I own one of Art's though so no longer a frustrated bunny. :D

Good Luck on your quest to build a better bunny.

Thanks for the compliment and thanks for the info!

I wish Art would do a second run of the mask, you are super lucky to have got one.

Yeah, it's a pretty daunting task, but I think I'm up for it, especially with all the awesome reference pics now!
