My foam Dr Doom by jessetattoo

Ok so a few days back i wanted to make a Dr Doom mask with some foam leftovers from my last costume and was sooo pleased with the outcome after only a few hours of work that i got more foam mats and decided to go full out and make the hole thing, this is my progress.


Using this for my cloth templates. sorta going classic doom, with my flair/what i have at my disposal.


Will post more as i go.

Ok so last night during my hunt for reference pics i came across this


and my mind went BOOOOOM!

Dr.DOOM marvels biggest enemy with marvels best weapon, WE HAVE A WINNER!

so I know its ruff atm, but i got to stop here for the night as i need to hit up my local craft store for those decorative colored glass half bead things, in the right or close colors.

So shinny this thing is gona look rad when im done with it.

rockeagle...dont let something like that effect what you build. There will be people who say things, but most of those people cant build their own costumes so who cares what they say? craft your fandom!

nothin wrong with a short doom, hell iv seen skinny, fat and even girl dooms, hell if your really small you could pull off a doombot

and after careful consideration i think iv got to go with FF DrDOOM as if im not mistaken is the one that actually got the gauntlet and then i can always die the cloth for other uses down the road. and iv seen alot of green DOOMs

So iv been doing lil things here and there and im almost done the leg armors

Gona start on the feet covers next, wore them around my house most of the day today, very comfortable. Gotta get on my sewers back about the tunic and cape after xmas, id do it myself but iv got a pro wanting to trade for tattoo time with me, so thats a no brainer.

and ty CR, i wish it looked a bit less foam-made, but the hole outfit looks like foam lol so not sweating it. i cant stop putting it on and checking myself out in the mirror :cool

I know the feeling. When I made my Edward Kenway costume I couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror either lol. And on another note I think that you are doing a great job with the foam. Keep up the great work.

ty Iv only just started this last year playing with this foam and hotglue but for last years con i did a Tron Uprising guard outfit.

all made with foam mats, hotglue, bondo, over 100 feet of ElWire, and months of work. Iv really been enjoying what you can do, i think next project ill see about incorporating some paperka* or whatever its called as so far iv just been doing all by eye.
