My First TOS P2 Hero Build

Well its been awhile, But I am almost finished with a TOS P2 I picked up.

I started with a semi hollow resin kit I had. After a year or so of picking up parts, and ideas on the board. I decided to try a hero build of this prop.

First I began by routing it out a great deal more so that I could get the P1 to have both the moving parts, and electronics from a AA phaser. Although I haven't finished The P2. I do intend to add a seprate set of playmates electronics to it as well so that both will function.

Here is a few pictures of what I have so far.

That's... not bad! :cool

So the AA electronics fit in there leaving enough room for a rising sight as well? Awesome.

So what about the pistol? Will you have a second set of electronics in there? or will you trigger off of the P1 electronics somehow...

(EDIT: whoops, you say you're going to yse Playmates electronics for that. Where's my coffee...)

I did have to make some mods to the AA electronics, but it did finally fit. I cut about 1/4 inch off one side if the circuit board to get it to fit. I then soldered jumper wires to the board to make up for the missing traces.

That's looking good :)
It's interesting to see and hear what electronics your using.
Good stuff.

Well here it is.

I intend to change the P1 indicator, But for now I have an old one I had taped in place. I also haven't done the electronics in the P2 yet. I'm still kicking the idea of a retractable P2 emitter around.

This has been a really fun project, and I wouldn't have been able to do it without all the help, and advice I got from the board. For that I'd like to thank the community. :)
