My first prop kit build - Farscape Pulse Pistol

This Farscape pulse pistol is the first resin kit that I have ever built. It is a Wilco Models and I think it turned out great if I do say so myself.
I drilled the barrel out 2 and 1/2 inches so you don't see anything when you look down the barrel. It took a lot of sanding and I used quick drying bondo to fill in the air holes from the mold and smoothed out the whole gun with 400 grit sand paper.
I used automotive laquer to paint it. I used Plasti-kote Competition Colors black metal flake number 320. It has small silver flakes in the paint. I read that the pistol was not fully black. I found what I think is the perfect color.

Looks really good for a "first kit". And your choice of color looks spot on to me.:thumbsup

Thanks. I really love how it turned out. It is also one my my favorite Sci- Fi guns. I love the show. I did lots of research before I painted it. I am so pleased how it turned out.
My next one if going to be Wilco's Jayne's revolver. I have to figure out how to make the grips look like wood.

nice, I am close to finishing mine which is my first kit aswell, caught a couple spots I missed that I need to go back a retouch but will have it done in no time.
