My first Prop Build, Eureka Comunicator

This was my first prop build, I use cad software and a small CNC machine I got on eBay. I made the original out of scrap wood, cleaned it up and made a silicon mold. The finished one is resin and I painted it using a aluminum Krylon.

It was a simple piece and a fun one to make. I am really liking this show and look forward to more props I can make for my collection.

I will get better pics here soon.

Very very cool, I just came back down from Vancouver, I was on the set of Eureka for acouple days as a advisor and was playing around with these, they are very neat, they even had acouple that lit up, you did a great job, any chance of a run?

I'm interested in one. Unfortunately I'm to new to post my interest in the thread provided. :( So I don't know if that is a factor or not. Thanks.

Good to see some props from this show.
Can you show your CNC?
Thanks
Mel W.

Its a Zentoolworks CNC machine, got it off of eBay earlier this year and just got it all completed
I will try and make a video of one of my next projects

Cool communicator. Count me as interested if a run of brass or bronze Cornelius buckles is made.

I'd be more interested in the machined ones, as I don't think cold cast buckles would hold up well to the strain that would be put on them.
