My first project - Robocop

Hi guys,

After being a lurker for some time and finally getting to my first convention, I thought it high time to start my Robocop suit. The people on this forum has provided with so much inspiration that I just could not wait any longer !!!

As I dont have access to a 3D printer and my sculpting skills are just above 0, I will try and use the V1 pepakura templates. I am currently doing the test fit for the helmet but of course my head is apparently bigger than the 6'2 template (I am 6'4), so I am starting the next paper helmet for fitting soon.

I have recently moved to the Netherlands, so if there are any locals on the forum, I would appreciate help with sourcing some of the materials (resin, foam, plasti-dip), or even just what to ask for. My dutch is still very bad !

Anyway thanks again guys for all the amazing creations and tutorials !!

Hope to update with some progress soon.

A quick update :)

I have assembled 2 pepakura helmets for my robocop project, but I am struggling with the size. These are both too small ! I have tried measuring and using the distance between 2 points function but apparently I am still off. Hoping the 3rd time is a charm !

looks good and nice to see something different... i guess you are doing the whole suit... dude that will be awesome... keep us updated...and once again nice work... just a quick question are you going to resin coat the paper or are you going to use foam for the suit...

Dude, that is a really clean job there. I am looking forward to seeing this when it is finished. Which files are you using to make the suit and helm? Is there a link to them at all?

Dude I am so subscribing to this thread! Can't wait to see more. Love it! Want to test out my sculpting skills on the helmet and RoboCop is gonna be my first.

Great start, your pep work is really clean. I think the magic number is 3 on helmet building, I was just telling another member (monstermask) that I had to build 3 helmets too to get the fit right. Good luck on your build :thumbsup
