My first lightsaber build a Heliand flash

Hi everybody I just received my 2 Heliand flashes a 3 cell and a 2 cell both with the correct guts and round electrical outlets they both have the wrong endcap though. I plan on converting both of them and selling one to equate the cost I put into one. If that makes sense lol. I wish there was the correct endcap available for sale somewhere, instead of having to butcher two Heliand endcaps, besides parks which I think has stopped selling them. I have some Todd's t-track cut for an ESB saber, I think they need some trimming though. They come a little long which is good thing. I plan on ordering Roy's shroud and some of his t-track together next month. My plan for the two cell is to cut it shorter and to use a clamp and a chrome pipe to basically make a it appear as a whole piece. The benefit to this is that the I have a vintage flashgun, but I don't have to sacrifice as MUCH accuracy while doing so. Well besides all of the writing littered across the tube lol. Still I think there something really special about using the flashguns. My hope is that at the end of this I'll be able to make it look like Vader's saber as it is now, minus some of the rust on the shroud. (I plan on adding some via a petina solution) enough blabbing here's some pictures: 20161224_173756_HDR.jpg 20161224_173827_HDR.jpg 20161224_174727_HDR.jpg 20161224_173958_HDR.jpg As you can see they are all in pretty good condition. They have zero brass showing, which is a plus for sure. The 2 cell has less deep scratches with only one spot (as far as I can see). I look forward to progressing and gathering information from you all! If you have any tips or ideas please feel free to share them thanks! Special thanks to sym-cha/ Chaim he's been a major recourse and has helped me out lot with any and all of my questions, it members like him who make this board great!

Those look magnificant to be replicated into Vader's lightsaber ... I'm glad to be of assistance ... always :)

I did read the rumor that Romans Empire might tackle the MPP flashgun ... now that Rogue One is out.

All shall be revealed during 2017

Wow! That would make a great 2017! Just got my Obi's from him. Amazing work! Just flawless.

A nice Vader replica would give me a very respectable Big3 collection. Park's 2.0 is not perfect, but was really amazing for my budget.

I actually have a few questions first, what is the length that the grips should be, second are the grips slightly rounded towards the back? Are they also rounded at the top or are they completely flat? Also how do you get home grips to sit flush on the endcaps? And has anybody attempted to recreate the break on the t track shown in this picture:

I've been carefully studying this picture but I don't want to draw any conclusions that may or may not be accurate. This is version of Darth vades lightsaber I plan to closely follow in terms of weathering. Like I said before I also want to add a some rust on the shroud, unless it was not there during production of ESB/ROTJ.
