My first Graflex!

I never did have an original, but over the years I've had sabers come and go.

Every time I see one of these posted though, I want one...

I originally planned to convert it, but now im not so sure. Just as it is looks good in with the collection, and I dont think I could bear to drill through the bottom...

Go ahead and drill it. You'll be able to find another that you can use as a display version. I converted one to ANH version, the other I left the cable and reflector attached. It is a beautiful piece of work, too bad they were trashing these or giving them away years ago. How I would have loved to buy a box full of these 10-15 years ago.

My sentiments exactly......mine now sits "complete" between two replica graflexs.

I say leave it.

Then don't. Saw off the screw/rivet heads and glue them on.

It is THE thing to have, as far as I'm concerend... everytime I walk by mine, I must pick it up and give it some love. Since I was 13 I wanted it... and I have never been more excited than the day I got mine, almost 27 years later.

I have a couple I converted, I was afraid to at first, but what the hell. Looks better as a saber anyhow.

just dont put a D ring on it.

get some T-tracks from our own saberfreak, glue em on with something that could be easily removed if need be (hell you might be able to use some thin double sided tape?

or even better, get a repro bottom, do whatever you want to, and be able to to turn it from minty perfect camera relic to lightsaber with litterally the flick of a switch.

im willing to bet, that unless you get another, it will be converted in one way or another... it will taunt you everyday untill you do...
