My Fallout 3 New Vegas Eyebot

Okay guys, so i used these three pictures for a reference for my custom eyebot i wanted to build. One is frome the Fallout NV e3 trailer, one is a replica a guy made from clay which i think came out amazing, and the other one is a picture from an ED-E mod from new vegas that i thought would be perfect to use as a reference since it has the shapes of all the main parts.

This was all my progress from about half way into the build. sorry i have a nasty habit of forgetting to take pictures in the beginning. :wacko what i had decided to use was foam puzzle matts because with a heat gun you can mold it and it looks great when you add details. I also used ALOT of hot glue :lol. i went to an orchard's hardwear store and bought the metal wires for the antenna. when i weathered it u just used some different detail paints for the rust. i just added the ribbon award thing for a unique look

Looks really good. Not an easy project, I wanted to make one too but never got to it. Sure looks different than the Eyebots in Fallout 2.

Also yes i agree. i havent played fallout 2 but i sure have seen many pictures of the eyebots from the game

So it's been a while since I did anything with this thread, but I thought I would just post some pictures of what eyebot-type things I've done since my last eyebot. I went back to my old one and added a few new details such as making a better center coil at the top on my first eyebot replica. I also added a tube like how other eyebots have. Another thing I did for fun was etch in the enclave insignia on the back plate. I have a few pictures in here before I painted those details and some after I painted them. I've also made an Eyebot 2.5. It was a pretty spontaneous thing when I made it since my friend and I were actually going to paint some guns that day. I used an old bike helmet I had for the base along with "eyebot 2.0" which was a rushed unpainted copy of version one. I didn't care about 2.0 and I simply used it to fill up the space in the helmet. I didn't take any pictures while I was making 2.5 because like I said, it wasn't a planned project but I created the details using foam mats of different thicknesses like I made eyebot 1.0.. I also used legos I had laying around for some of the details. I tried to give 2.5 a similar look to that of ED-E, but I didn't want it to be exact. I added a few things to 2.5 in that the back panel actually comes off to show some wires and old circuit boards I hot glued inside. I didn't rust 2.5, but I attempted to add the old metal look. The antennae are crooked on purpose now on both eyebots to give it the old battle damaged 200-year-old look. Thanks for looking.
