my ESB Hasbro mod

I have not formally introduced myself since joining. So, hello everyone! I have browsed this site many times and always missed the time to join. I am an ESB trooper TK-4820 and live in SoCal. I thought I would post my Hasbro mod here and start contributing. Here goes...
I started by taking the hasbro apart and removing the less accurate parts

I removed the toy counter and opened up the space under the scope, after this I began to fill in the scope with plastic and then bondo

I then began to add more holes

I fabricated the counter clip from the pre-existing counter and plastic pieces then bondo w/ screw. Added the doopy doos ammo clip mid way and took this pic.

Next phase,
I removed the front site and began working on my greeblies. I wanted to extend the barrell, so I had to extend the doopy doos folding stock. I made the greeblies from oven bake clay. I hope the pics make sense w/out me going into great detail, I will be happy to explain further if it does not make sense

I then attached my front, mid and back sites. Glued folding stock. Finished painting and added the scope back.

I used John( Stormtrooper )'s promo blaster as reference

I know it's not perfect, but I think I've shown that you can make a Hasbro look good. Let me know what you guys think, the build thread w/ more detailed description can be found on whitearmor. Thank you

Nice. Where did you find the concrete clips?
(could not find thread on whitearmor)

Very nice. And to think, I've got one of the Hasbro blasters in storage. I might have to add this my list of projects.

I made the clips from oven bake clay, my build thread is in the blaster section under the same screen name here. It is probably on the 5th or 6th page by now! Glad you like it.

Smordant, Taco-Bot,
Thanks for the praise, it is much appreciated. It is a fun project that does not take a lot of time or money.

can you tell me about the trigger replacement? And where you got the d ring for the back end? thanks

I used the hasbro trigger, I removed the excess plastic from the trigger piece w/ my dremmel. I re-installed it after paint with the original spring.

As for the D-ring, I purchased a package of lamp chain. I clipped out the opening a 1/4 inch smaller, drilled into my resin piece about 3/16 for both ends. Bent slightly to install and then crimped back into shape. Prime and paint.

I paid 3 or 4 dollars for the chain, you will have plenty to spare.

THANKS! I also see a tube of D-6000? IS that the glue? I tried to get help at Whitearmor but I hate clicking extra links just to see pics! (ha ha)

I just got my gun today in the mail (same as yours) and I still need to order my doopydoos, but was curious what glue you had used

Mmm, E-6000 industrial adhesive...

It's a great glue, bonds very strongly, dries completely clear, plus it isn't brittle when it's dry...

Only downsides are that it takes a long time to cure, plus the fumes are absolutely hideous.

I'm thinking... E-6000 for some bits and epoxy for a few others?

Awesome man, great post. I'm making a TK suit for one of my kids for the B'more comic-con this year, this mod is perfect for what we're doing. Thanks!

I used E-6000 for attaching the smaller parts and greeblies. I used epoxy for the big stuff like the stock assembly and ammo clip( also ran a screw from the inside). I think a lot of folks use one or the other or both, It is all about holding together. Make sure you clean your resin parts well, I made that mistake and had some repainting to do.

Good luck on your build!:cool
