My Elder Med/cannon Pack

Here it is ...the final piece of the elder suit.

Ever since I started building my suit, jeez back in 2005,  I always felt that he would evolve to what we all come to know as the Predator 2 Elder piece by piece.

So thanks to seahunter and Gary who began work on this piece a few months ago I knew it would be awesome.  Needless to say it's PERFECT!!...the casting is awesome, the detail and accuracy is dead on to the screen used piece.  I have yet to see any pack built to this level of detail.  Gary is such a stickler for detail what he told he went through to make it accurate is truly amazing.

now the fun part...Build it and make it fit to the suit... which is what this piece is made to be worn as a costume piece.
so over the next few weeks i'm going to adding a cooling unit to it for my suit as well as lights and weathering the piss out of it.

more progress pics to come. The goal is to have it complete and camera ready for the gathering.

thanks gene and gary you both did some amazing work and i'm honored to wear it!

Wearable and functional and weight.
Those are things you have to consider when making any component that you are going have to wear. This type of costume requires some serious enduranc as any Pred-costumer will tell you you can overload it with electronics and all the bells and whistles , not what i need since I wear it for long periods of time.

I need it to be a wearable piece and to serve a purpose, not just a high end dust collector. I have plenty of those lol...

Awesome!!!  Love, love, love all the little details (like the damaged dread)!  I'm planning on doing that with my female Yautja.  Nothing more sexy than a Yautja huntress with battle damage you know. :D

Battle damage is key...
No pred should be "perfect". I can totally understand the need to build it clean and detailed. However when you dirty him up, it makes the creature real. Like he has kicked ass and busted a few.
That has been the ultimate goal.

For 1, this backpack is made for a P1 suit, and suit tests  for a P1 suit show it fits just right. And 2ndly,  cutting anything away from under there would be a nasty bit of butchery for sure.   Best to look at REAL pics of the Predator backpack positioning  as apposed to Artist renders done in pencil.

The pack sits perfect on the suit...

I want it to sit high and away from the headpiece to allow me to move and turn my head left, instead of bumping into the cannon
