My Doctor Who Prop collection

I couldn't find that old "Post your new series Who stuff" thread, but I just got something in the mail today that requires a post. So here's the majority of my collection, with a couple items left out for various reasons.

And of course, the new center piece of my collection:

For those of you who think you might recognize it, yes it is what you think it is. It was recently dug out of Angels' storage and the finder was generous enough to separate the pair by an ocean.

Nice collection, nice shoe <LOL>

is the Sku number on that take into account color etc? I am sure there are a lot of cosplayers out there or collectors that would find that number useful if thats how they are broken down.

Yes, the SKU number is that of the unbleached white. My theory is that this shoe was run through the wash with a bit of bleach at some point. He did supposedly own them for quite a while before they were appropriated. The color of these in person lands considerably closer to a very, very dirty optic white, but all the other pairs of shoes were regular old cream-colored unbleached white.

I had a Russrep Baker sonic, but I let it go to make room for the sound version which will hopefully be coming shortly. And of course the little knick knacks like Jelly Babies, a yo-yo, a jeweler's..... uh, magnifying eye thingy? Large magnifying glass, etc.

The other thing about the M9162's is that their dye lot changed considerably since 2006. I have had 3 pairs since and the newer ones are MUCH yellower than the previous ones I have had. They FADE quick though and after worn outside in the sun a few weeks they will lighten up.

Nice score Risu! I should post my stuff here sometime! I have not forgotten the things you are looking for either so soon you will have to update the pictures :p

Sweet, I'm super excited for that.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, you can't see it in the pictures, but apart from being REALLY dirty, it's also a bit more yellow where the converse sticker was torn off. Not as yellow as the current unbleached white, but moreso than the rest of the shoe.

Words cannot express how jealous I am. Which episode is the brown folio from? It looks familiar but I can't place it.

Awesome find. I did wonder if anybody would find any Doctor related clothing at the Angels thing. Thanks for the SKU number. I'll be buying a pair of the white and maroon colored ones sooner or later and then ripping those stickers off and putting them out in the sun to fade 'em a bit haha.

Did you make your own 3D glasses? I've been wondering about whether to do that myself, I have cardstock, correct colored lenses and a template to cut out lol.

Loving the collection. Very jealous. Especially of that River Song diary. It's effing beautiful.

EDIT: @Decipher .. if you're reffering to the brown leather bound journal, it's from the "Human Nature" / "The Family Of Blood" 2 parter (season 3). Great episodes.

The stickers were only ripped off of that one pair for publicity photos. You can see them pretty clearly on the shoes in Doomsday when he props his feat up on the table. It looks like it was quite an ordeal getting them off, too. One edge of the circle looks like it almost ripped wide open.

Thanks for the compliments. The 3d glasses came from something years and years ago. They're pretty distressed now because they spent 3 years tucked between two parts of my car's dash to stop them from squeaking.

Oh, and the River Song diary run will be coming pretty soon. I just need to figure out the Baker neckerchief run first.

Fantastic stuff, Risu!

The Doctor's shoe looks a lot more stylish than I thought it'd be... Just like every other piece of his wardrobe when I see a picture of it in good detail :lol

Ahhh good, that means I won't need to rip the stickers off. That's probably a good thing anyway lol. I'll still leave the white ones out in the sun to fade them a bit though. Hopefully they'll end up a close color match at least.

That's a funny story about the 3D glasses haha. Either way, that might be my next super small/easy project as I have all the things needed to make those.

Very excited about the RS diaries. Especially now you have some more (and HD) references to work with. If you need any 720p screenshots from any of the Angel episodes, let me know. Also, on blogtorwho, there is a little video of River reading about the aliens from Saturnyne from a page in her diary. Might be worth checking out as it could possibly be made into a custom page on the inside. Although it's not canon so probably pointless. Either way, it's another reference to look at :D

I just checked out that River Song video, do you know if there's a higher resolution copy of that anywhere? I love the art style of that book, almost like the journal of impossible things meets the book of the dead meets a comic book. Unfortunately, it's unbelievably complicated and is only one page of a couple hundred, so it wouldn't be worth it. I'd love to see if anybody that gets a book from me fills in the pages like that though. At the very least, one good thing came out of that video, now I know exactly what type of paper to use.

Well I think the owner of Blogtorwho records the streams and posts them as photobucket videos. I think it was taken from the BBC website but I doubt you or I would be able to watch it due to region restrictions. It might also be on the BBCA website. Might be worth a look.

...Don't tempt me. :lol I'm just crazy enough to try it when I have the time, which luckily I don't have much of right now.

It's fairly easy to get a 720p source if you know where to look. I'd say outright, but I'm not sure the rules on such things here. I'll just say it involves an anchorage for marauders. ;)

Ah, so the original Journal of Impossible Things. Right. It's been a while since I've watched those episodes.
Fantastic stuff, Risu!

Definitely. It's amazing how detailed the costumes are for that show when it barely showed broadcasting in SD. Of course, now we get to see every little thread of Matt Smith's quite-literal "doctor clothing".

Apparently the "Monster Files" will be on the DVD/s. I know that Season 5 Volume 1 has monster files on it. I also know (after searching youtube that River's diary is read (and shows the pages) for the Weeping Angels monster file too. I imagine these will all be on bluray which means we could potentially see some great, re-creatable screen grabs of the pages shown.

It sounds like it's just about time to buy one of those blu-ray drives for my computer. Darn newfangled technology.
