My dauther's first light saber...sort of.

Not really so much prop replica related...but thought I'd show this anyway...my daughter, who is only 4 years old, had been beggging and begging for me to get her a real light saber..a yellow one, since her favorite Care Bear is yellow (Funshine Bear)...so here it is...IF I posted the link correctly. :confused Turn the sound up, by the way.

Oh, if it were just traditional rotoscoping I never would have bothered...I don't have that kind of time, or patients. :lol

I used a light saber preset I downloaded, which made the blade for me..I just chose the color, adjusted wth width, length, flicker, glow intensity, and placed the start and end points every few frames. My digital camera only films at 10 frames per second, so that made it easier, plus, with a little adjustiments here and there, the preset fills in the motion blur automatically. The whole thing only took me about an hour to put together, includeing the filming. (making her light saber hilt out of cardboard took a little longer.)

This weekend I'm going to test out activation/deactivation.
