My Darth Vader reveal helmet and bust - project. New headsculpt on post 59

Re: Darth Vader reveal - the first(?) completed custom made Lifesize

Congrats on the ROTS...I thought with that you would be tempted to make a complete ROTS Vader, or maybe you should turn that ROTS into a ROTS reveal...:love

Thank you.

You are right. That was my first intetion, to turn the MR into a ROTS reveal:cool

Re: Darth Vader reveal - the first(?) completed custom made Lifesize

Well it really is a great collection of one the finest cinematic characters Trap Joe. :thumbsup

Re; the RotS helmet, I wasn't a huge fan either, only wanting it for reveal/symmetry reasons. It was only upon owning and holding one in my hands that my appreciation of it grew for what it was rather than what it wasn't. Good luck on your reveal, though with your skills I don't think you'll need it. Keep us posted.

Yes a brilliant collection, and nice to see a person willing to share, and that has a nice attitude with it.
great stuff :thumbsup

You are welcome frosty. It´s great fun sharing my knowledge with you fellow prop collectors. :cool maybe I don´t have enough time to do that as good, as I could do. The other barrier is that I usually speak German...:sleep But I do whatever I can to help.:love
I don´t like seeing guys keeping "big little secrets" play like they have invented the Star Wars props.

Re: Darth Vader reveal - the first(?) completed custom made Lifesize

I had a littele time to upgrate my reveal mask. I improved the teardrops and dremeled them bigger like on my TM mask. The next step will be the wheathering with brown "coffee":lol

Re: My 1997 to 2004 Darth Vader reveal helmet and bust - project

While I cleanded up and rearranged my collection yesterday, I took new pictures of my revealbust. I like to share this one

Re: My 1997 to 2004 Darth Vader reveal helmet and bust - project

I have received my new Ghost Host upper armour, which I love.
Now I am unsure which armour I should use for my reveal bust and which one for my ESB mannequin. The Ghost Host, or the one I made more than 13 years ago?
I need your opinion!

The Ghost Host hast some foam on the inside which let my bust look bulky, because it already has David Prowse measurements. I will remove it to let it look correct if it comes to, that I will use the Ghost Host.
I´m looking forward, hearing your opinions.:)

I like the look of the black paint on that mask. Could you tell me what brand of paint you used?

Very nice collection. :thumbsup

Thank you for your post Too Much Garlic.:love

I used standox. It´s a two component car paint system to use with airbrush. The gunmetal I mixed together by myself.

Re: My Darth Vader reveal helmet and bust - project. From 1997 to today

Re: My Darth Vader reveal helmet and bust - project. From 1997 to today

does nobody want to help me with my desicion which armour I should use? :confused :confused

Re: My Darth Vader reveal helmet and bust - project. From 1997 to today

That's a tuff one?

In think they both look great. If I was forced to choose I think I would have to go with the GH as it has lineage but that's just me......
:thumbsup

who else want to help me with my decision?

Re: My Darth Vader reveal helmet and bust - project. From 1997 to today

:confused
Have to admit, that my 1995 upper armour looks fairly close the same as a Ghosts Host armour.

It seems like I have to decide myself. :confused

Re: My Darth Vader reveal helmet and bust - project. From 1997 to today

I´ve decided to use my upper armour. I´ve heard, they are from the same scource as Ghost host. And he made it after I casted mine back in the 90s.

Re: My Darth Vader reveal helmet and bust - project.

I would like to show you my improved Sebastian Shaw lifesize head sculpt, I´ve finished around two month ago.

I´ve slightliy changed his expression. All his scars are removed, as I removed the David Prowse neck. I´ve watched the movie "High seasons" very often in these days, to make this portait of Shaw - the actor, but in his Anakin role.

My plan is to add a latex or silicone bald cap and the facial scar application, sometimes.

What do you guys think of it? If I get together 10 people, I´m thinking about to cast him, make a mold and do a run from it. Let me know your opinion.
