Here are some shots of my nearly completed Captain James Hook prostetic hook from the Spielberg movie. I sculpted the hook and made the replica from plastic sheets in 1993!!! I was looking for someone who can do the plating for me for years in Germany. But never succeeded. Now here it is in all it´s shiny glory of the movie. Thank you Randy!!!
I made two different replacement hooks. One is a cast from a short original one. The other one is the longer version they used in some other scenes. I sculpted this one back then. I also built a sword like tool. I´m planning to shorten it and add a piece of chalk on top of it. Just take a look:
I will have to complete the bottom of it with some black leather that can be closed with leather straps.
Here are some pics from earlier stages of my Lifsize Figure I made as a teenie. I sculpted the head from clay in three days. I don´t know how i did that - I never have been as fast again. The eyes are moveable. Head and arms are poseable. All made from polyester and vaccuumed pieces.
It´s still not completely finished. I still need the correct metal belt buckle and another hat. Than I like to replace the head sometimes also with a silicone version of it i can punch in the hair, the eyebrows and so on.
I´m also doing this aluminium and golden version of the hooks. So I let them cast in metal. This is how this progress is so far:
Finally here are some compairisson shots. They show how it began and the final look of the casted hook from the original.
I´m so happy finally seeing the end of the tunnel. I´m looking forward hearing your opinions.
