Hey guys, I've been working on this for a little over a month now, have some progress pics to show. It's not screen accurate by a long shot, but I'm just kind of using that as a base design and doing my best with what I can do. Let me know what you think.

Straps not secured down yet:

Did some work on the straps, secured them and fitted them over the shoulders:

Hey guys, another update. I just received my helmet in the mail today. A member here (phizzle127) painted it for me, it's the one on the left in the pics with two of them. Don't have pics of me wearing it yet, but I will get some eventually. For now, here it is:

NICE Helmet!! Very nice indeed. Look forward to seeing how it fits you . Looks like you have everything coming together really nicely.

Thanks Oculus. Yes Phil did a fantastic paint job for me. It fits a little loosely for now, which is good because I still have to fit a leather WWII aviator helmet underneath it which I haven't purchased yet. Once I get that it will fit like a glove.

The maker goes by jesterfx, not sure if he's a member here. It's a fiberglass helmet, for anyone wondering. Once again, thanks for all the compliments on the suit guys!

hey guys, small update today. I just have some pics of the helmet with the new leather aviator cap underneath now. Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I've been working so much lately that I hardly have time to breathe, so progress has moved to a snail's pace for the time being.

Hopefully I can make some more progress soon, in the meantime, enjoy the head gear.

New update guys, this time on the straps! They need some streamlining, but I got the shoulders together:

Coool. If i make one i might jus use sticky back velcro on the straps so i dont have to worry about sewing em on

Great work so far on your costume...I really like what you have done. And that helmet is totally freaking cool!!! Can't wait to see more progress shots :)

Love the battle damaged shield....

Thanks guys! I think I may go the Velcro route for the shoulder pads area. The only place they are actually sewn to the suit is the front just above the red straps, and that's it, everything else is loose for the time being.

Wow fantastic work mate! I have been waiting for more detailed costume shots to come out before starting mine. What did you use for the aviation cup under the helmet, just a normal leather flight cap?
