My captain america Build

I have been working on this build for 2 years. I had other projects that took priority I am now ready to complete it for this years holloween.

The shield --- it is made of fiberglass I still need to ad another layer to the out side edge add the leater grips and paint it. this was the easest to make.

im waitinf for vinyl stars once I get them I will etch the star into the scales then paint the star white or silver so the star moves with the mail.

im going to etch it into the scales rather then sticking a star on the chest

I bought a walmart plastic shield ripped the handle out of it and then I laid the fiberglass mesh in the inside mixed and poured resin in it. then I used a paint brush to paint the resin over the mesh squeezing out the creases and air bubbles it literly took 10 minutes to make.

the belt I bought from amazone just search super hero belt and the scales I purchased from theringlord.com they have 2 sizes I bought the large scales for this project.

I started a project like this forever ago, but never got around to finishing it. I only have a foot or so section made. I will be interested to see what the etching star looks like. I just used silver scales on mine to make the star shape.

Thanks sanding the star on the scales was a big pain in the ass. I think it came out good.
