Hey guys it's been awhile since I've posted here but I'm getting into casting various things lately and I wanted to show you my latest project which is the Cad Bane mask.
I'd really like some critique and advice from you all. This was my first time sculpting first time using latex so it was a learning experience for sure.
So here are my sculpt pictures this is about 90 percent done I added the forehead wrinkles after these pics.
So I made a plaster mold and cast the head here's what I pulled out today. I'm not totally happy with it because there are holes it's kinda jagged but the face came out really nice! and that to me is the most important part. I still can trim a bit more off but I'm thinking of either A. using a shiny black leather to go over the head covering parts or just doing another latex cast. I'm worried that my mold though is part of the problem so I'm not sure I'll ever get it as perfect as I'd like. It got damaged a bit and I had to repair it.
Here are the pics, the eyes are just red fabric I'm using as placeholders lol.
also what kinds of paints are appropriate to use on this? It's a bit too blue for me right now.
