My build mk6

Re: My iron man mkVI hybrid build

It looks pretty good so far, you will need first put a light coat of primer on what you have bondo and then sand it smooth, add another very thin layer of bondo, coat it in a different color of primer and sand down until you start seeing your first primer color. That should help you smooth it out and level the whole piece out.

As an answer about fixing piece of your helmet if you cut to much off or break a piece, take it easy, get some more card stock, glue the piece back together and then resign and fiberglass those piece again. I know it takes a while (I've been working on mine for about 6 months ;), slow sanding) but it will work. Just don't give up and keep on trucking

Thanks a lot i hope it will be done for montreal comic con in july but if its not it will be for next year and way better ☺

Re: My iron man mkVI hybrid build

So guys big news today I got the chance to meet mr jetman himself and i talked with him about his jet wing and i also talked to him about my iron man armor and he told me he was inspired by iron man and Icare and i asked him about his avionic and got the info I wanted and I decided this summer is going to be a lot of work because I need 10 000$ to buy two jetcat engine which provide 50kg of thrust and weight 2 kg each he told me if you make him flight come fly with me and vince reffet he is my idol since im really young so I really appreciate to see him support my project so i plan to 3d print the mk39 and install the jetcat engine inside the back jetpack because of the flight physic i might need to build a small wing with carbon fiber but that should not be a problem since im studying in aerospace engineering at canada national aerotechnic school and moght be able to have access to my school powertool if i need a wing i will put the fuel in the wing and a small kerosen tank in the back covered in anti fire material its gonna be a really expensive project but im not doing it for the fame or anuthing im doing it to realize my dream which as always been to fly without the need of an aircraft and since we do this why not doing it as iron man ? So i hope it will be a success and that my aerospace engineery will be able to make my dream come true so here is me with the jetman

please god let me fly like him thats the only thing i ask for

Re: My iron man mkVI hybrid build

You have inspired me with this post. Just be careful and keep me in the loop. Do it like stark and make prototypes and keep a fire extinguisher handy :)

Yeah for sure since the first thing we learned at our school is in aeronautics safety is the priority :) thanks for the support i really appreciate ☺

Re: My iron man mkVI hybrid build

The project might go on a couple of year since its very expensive and that im only a student first i need the money to do my pilot formation at the same.time.since i want to be an airliner pilot and the formation is expensive too so the list if thing I need is a 3d printer and the do3d files some titanium to protect the mk39 jetpack part of the jetcat.engine heat and the most epensive 2 jetcat engines which cost 5000 $ each

Re: My iron man mkVI hybrid build

I know my project moght look crazy and not serious bit more looking like a kittle kid dream but its not i will do it it can take 2 years or 10 years i dont mind i do it so I made a little 2 minutes plan of how it would be
b778ede47aa51c45e3a7765d28f2e916.jpg
the black part on the right of the jetpack is the place where i will need to add carbon fiber wing i will develop the apropriate profile of the wings with the help of my aerodynamic teacher and composite structure teachers that offered me to help me and support the project and granted me the acces to the school powertool the yellow part will be the location of the main kerosen (jetfuel) tank that is the primary engine fuel the normal fuel is only used for engine startup then at 10 000 rpm close the valve and open the jetfuel valve that will go in the turboreactor combustion chamber and kick the rpm to 30 000 rpm which is tge idle rotation speed also for safety will be a small fire extinguisher liquid tank so if any problem happen open the extinguisher tank it goes in bot engine and shut them off imediately the blue part is where the JetCat engine will be mounted in the backpack after all the testing i will only put them to the armor when i will be sure the system is safe and that i have it approved and certified by a transport canada inspector and we have like five of them at my school I think. The red part is where i will put the titanium plate the protect the suit from the heat th there is no rudder required the handling is done only by body move if you want to go up you raise the chest toward the sky the backpack will be connected to the wing after 3dprinting then molded and casted with carbon fiber also for safety the back pack isnt directly conected to the armor they are connected whith strong clip which i can release at any momen if it get dangerous for example total loss of control and engine disfunction these system where recomended to me by mrjetman so if i need to release the jet pack you may think well he is safe but now GG there is a crazy backpack falling to the ground now someone might get it in the face . Well no because if i release the back pack the white plate you see between the engine open and release a parachute so it goes down slowly I save money and no peoples get hurt but now GG the backpack is safe but im falling like a rock and now deadpool would say LOOK LOOK HE WILL DO A SUPERHERO LANDING YAY HE WILL DO SUPERHERO LANDING ... well i could but i would end with my leg bones sliding up to my neck in my body... so no sory for you deadpool . Well i have a emegency parachute in my back that come out because the parachute in the jetpack is the real parachute since i cant land for real or take off from ground safety and physics reason even Jetman cant yet but he is wprking on it so to fly with the suitni will need to jump from a plane the flight time is around 10 minutes after this chutes out we land thats why i will start doing a skydiving formation this summer. The throttle power is controled by a potentiometer that goes in my hand it lookna bit like the button in antman hands. tell me what you think i lime to see people advice its really apreciated and maybe could change something to my suit :)

Re: My build mk6 and flying mk39 project

So today I puted my knowledge at work so after thinking I choosed to go with auto stabilizing surface wing type which always have the tendancy to stay on a perfect flight attitude horizontal on every axis then I started calculate and made these schematics

Re: My build mk6 and flying mk39 project

Good news today i went to meet the direction of my school and they approved my project and also accepted to give me acces to their powertools and the help of the teachers they also told me that the project was awesosme and they are wanting to sponsor it

Re: My build mk6 and flying mk39 project

I don't know about the jaw, but have you ever looked up hacksmith on youtube? He is having trouble trying to find a shield for his legs so they don't burn.
