Hello all.... I ( like several on here) have too been working on my BANE TDKR costume for this year... been working on it since July... have had a few setbacks..but its almost all completed... NOT 100% accurate...but I think its abot 90%... which is great with me as I have had a lot of fun putting it together without spending an INSAINE amount of cash...tho I spent enough...lol! Been also hitting the gym with a new workout routine to help add to the costume appearance... I will post pics... would love any input from any on here... thanks!!

Got the mask from my buddy Dan at XDAN PROPS... he did an awesome job..and I LOVE this thing!!

I orignally purchaed a GCFX mask..which was very cool...but I just didnt like that it was just too big on my head..and didnt look right.. even with padding.. THIS one is just about custom made for me...and fits very snug like Hardy's did in the movie

Holy**** . Man talk about being built to pull off Bane. I would suggest getting some body makeup to cover up the tats. Definitely off to a good start. I would age the leather a little.

LOL..thanks a lot man,.,.. been hitting the gym extra hard. Glad to hear you think its paying off... I really want to do the character justice this year. I may try to age the leather a bit... any suggestions on how to do it?

Here is my vest, and belt
,,.. this was NOT easy to come by.... as there are some REALLY awesome vests...but the cost is WAY HIGH. After a lot of hunting..found this from a seller on ebay... I offered to buy it outright from him right as his auction started and he accepted! I am really happy with it... no its NOT 100% accurate...but its pretty damn close I think... and it fits awesome

I also want to thank my good buddy Jason from CA who is a HUGE costumer and an AWESOME one at that!! He spent many a night online with me helping me research stuff and bounce ideas off of him.

Holy yoke, Batman! Finally, someone with some size. What height are you? Also, check out the No Sew Bane Vest thread for tips on improving the vest. You are off to a great start though.

Actually I am just a bit smaller than mr Hardy! I undertand he comes in at about 5-9...and bulked up to 193 for the movie...?

I am at 5-8...( those Bane boots I am using sure help tho...lol) and thanks to my workout routine , I tipped in the other day at 218lbs.

Your scaring the crap out of me over the Internet!! Awesome job man!!
Make sure you are practicing your Whiney little ***** voice to go with the awesome costume tho!! :lol
*edit* not a jab. I just hated banes voice in TDKR!

What I like is that you're giving the expression in the eyes. The mask was so constricting to facial expression, a lot of the emotion and acting had to come from Hardy's eyes.

Good job!!

Are those suppose to be metal plates on the vest? If so I would cut some sintra to the required shape and size, paint and attach maybe via velcro like the do Fett armor. In regards to distressing the leather maybe a high grit sandpaper or steel wool in the areas that would wear the most. If you have a similar sample of the leather try a few test spots

I would've never guessed you for 5'8"
