My "artwork" for a V2 Sidious saber

Aside from still retaining the high gloss/chrome finish, how do you guys think this looks. My plan in to paint a .45 mini to match this and maybe an LE down the line. Also do you have any tips on matting the finish of the MR replicas to get it even more screen accurate?

You could spray it with a satin clear coat to take down some of the gloss and shine.
I doubt it would stick to the surface of the saber though. I think you'd almost have to sandblast it for any kind of paint to stick. Or at least go over it with some fine grit sand paper.

Good idea with the satin clear coat. I will have to try that.

I like the alternative colors. Does any one know what the correct colors are for the original?

I have built a 1 on 1 scale of stainless steel aluminum and brass. It is an EL. I am interested in feedback on blade alternatives.

I will post a pic as soon as I figure out how to do so on this board.
