My ANH Vader Chest Box

What's up everyone,

This is My ANH Chestbox that I've been working on for a few Months now,
partly because of other projects that I have going.. This Chestbox is based
off of one, of 2 ANH Screen Casts that I aquired.. I used the better cast to
use as the model for the creation of this, which was mostly Sculpted from Clay
to get the wonky shape like the original.. It took me a while to get the base of
the Chestbox as close to the original as possible, and as agravating as it was
i'm surprised I didn't throw it threw the window .. Since I wanted this to be
mostly hand made, I had to be a little more creative making the coin slots..
The Rockers were made with Clay and then baked and refined..
I've spent a lot of time, to get every last detail right. The size, Angle,
and placement of every piece is just like the original, or as close as humanly possible

I know that some of you might be asking Yourselves why I didn't make the Rockers out of
wood.. Well, I wanted this to be Accurate looking and since I also wanted to make these
available to whomever wants one, it just wouldn't be feasible with the budget on this Chestbox

This ANH is Solid, but i'm thinking about making it hollow just like ESB..
Trust me though it will be thick enough to where you could run it over
with a truck witout damage.. The resin I use is strong stuff
Maybe I'll just leave that up to the person buying one

Well, in order to keep the price down they are in fact painted resin, but
I've done a lot of experimentation with paints to find out which ones look
the closest to Aluminum and I've found a 98% match and as you can see
from the photo's it's pretty hard to tell that their not Al..

Actually they knew I was working on an ANH Box based off the original
and it's not like I recasted anything I simply used measurements, placement
and angels of parts..

I'm not really sure what your tone is with me as I've never had any problems
with you? I also don't remember seeing you make these kind of comments
when someone else used a screen cast to make their own chestbox available.
is their someone your reffering to when you say this?

I'm just sick of seeing overpriced Chestboxes for sale as I'm sure everyone
else is too, and believe me I'm not making any money on these things. I do
it for the love of the Hobby and the people who want quality affordable stuff..

Hey no problem Carsten
It just seemed to me that in order for you to make a comment like that, you
would need to have someone filling your ear with a bunch of Bulls*!t
especially since you and I have always been friendly in the past..

Sorry for reading too much into what you said, it just came off as a little
harsh..

Anyone who's dealt with me, knows that I'm very Honest, and Professional
when it comes to my work. I'm also talented enough to not need a Screen cast
to make a Chestbox..

Err, you seem to be having a few digs at Me I believe. Surprising as I don't recall making a big thing that you got a screen cast ANH from ME and your box seems to show many traits, I will let it slide for now unless you want to start something here.

I dont know what your issue is old friend but my ESB screen cast project is just that. Not some ANH tampered cast but again the people paying money will judge for themselves and what I make available speaks volumes. My public Complete ESB Vaderv version is part scratchbuild and you know how good that looks alone so whats the issue here? We are not in competition in my eyes at all so give the snide remarks a rest as it's all getting a bit stupid seeing as we were good friends at one point and now your beginning to push the wrong buttons to start a fight. Bring it on or drop it.

I made no remarks about you and if you would please,
I wish you could Highlight them so I could clear them up..
I think it's you that has the problem with me, not the other
way around. I'm absolutely beside myself right now..

BUT, if you dare to Accuse me of Recasting the Screen Cast you
gave me, Go right ahead.. I'll take that as a compliment to how good
my work is .. For your info, Chaz already stated he was kept in the loop
throughout the procss, and he can verify that everything was made seperate
not recasted.. I can also prove by pictures all the step by step process I used
to make each part if your sure you want to make yourself look bad.. I'm just
frigin shocked you would accuse me of recasting, That's frigin low and especially for
someone I thought i was friends with.. I even kept from posting my work on
the Prop Den out of Respect to you because I know you have an ESB box
your getting ready to release. And who said anything about your ESB Box
being an ANH tampered Box, I never did. and even though My ESB won't be
a Screen Cast You shouldn't underestimate My skill and Eye for detail when it
comes to something like this.. It's not fair for you to say Yours is worth more
money because you made it, or it's taken from a screen cast.. The fact that I
offer my stuff at low prices is proof that you or anyone else doesn't have to
take advantage of the fans and prop collectors by profitting from their love of
movies..

As I read the quote you posted, I think your the one looking for a fight because
that quote was not meant as a Jab at you, I was mearly telling Carsten in
short that My Sculpting skills are good enough to not need the Cast.. I wish
you would stop spreading lies about Me, You've made it obvious to everyone

To be honest the way it reads, I would take it as a jab if I were Paul since he is the only one offering chestboxes.

Also not to knock your work here but there is a difference in "quality affordable" and "screen accurate" a BIG difference.

I dont think it is a bit unreasonable for that to reflect in the price of a piece.

Well, I'll be honest, you do pose a good point.. when I told Carsten
(NoHumorMan, a friend of Pauls) that I didn't remember him knocking someone
elses chestbox recently, I was refferring to Pauls, but not in a negative way.
Just that he didn't make those sort of comments in Pauls Showoff Thread..

But all the other comments were not directed at Paul, We were suppose to
be friends.. I don't know, it seems he was just looking for a reason to air some
bad feelings he has towards Me, Besides the Quote Paul used is not the
Quote your using,but I thank you for bringing it up so I could address it..

I know your a good friend of Pauls, and understand you rushing to his defense.
so I hold no i'll will towards you for your attempt to try to make me see his
point of view, but please understand I never refferred to him as a recaster
like he just did to Me, and I didn't personally attack him publicly like he just did
to me..

On the Subject of "quality affordable" vs "Screen Accurate" Yes your right
there is a big difference between the two, but in order for it to be Screen
Accurate it has to be at least 2nd generation.. I'm sure Paul has no idea what
Generation casting it is.. Since were unsure how well the persons casting experience
was, it's hard to guage how good, and Accuate, to the screen used piece it is.
Isn't this also why there is so much debate over Vader Helmets and why
proving provenance is so important to people when calling their
Helmet "Screen Accurate"
What I'm Offering is a Piece people can be proud of having without draining
their bank account..
