My 2nd 1:1 Headsculpt ... the Idealistic Farmboy

That is completely awesome. You captured Hamil's presence. Kudos and keep up the great work. I'm interested in seeing Old Ben now.

GOOD GOSH :eek . You blow that other Luke bust clear out of the sky (or clear off the shoulders :lol :lol ). If you can make it look as good as that image with the real eyes in place, I would rank you #1 headbust sculpter I've seen in a LOOONG time (way back when I was lurking on the board) :D . But... you'd still get the award anyway due to the sheer lifelikeness in the sculpt. Excellent work.

Amazing likeness, and we've seen some great sculpts on this board.
Outstanding work. You've even captured minute details of Hamill's pre car accident
skin. You must have had some great reference material to pull this off.

Great job.

Well I guess I had better do my thing. ;) Here's just a quick (and rather poorly done) "digi-paint job" for you. The eyes I put in are not at all right (and a bit scary.), but you get the idea. This sculpt looks amazing.

Keep up the great work.

All the best,

Hey Cantina Dude - very nice coloration - :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :)

I made this little pic up, so maybe you can try your coloring Talents on this one - :)

I would be to excited to see how this would look like colored - :)

I added in the real Lukes eyes in place and made the nose holes and the sides of the
mouth dark - Very curious to see what you could do with this picture - :thumbsup

The sculpt looks awesome. I really liked the idea of giving the B/W photo some color. To imagine what the finished head would look like. I hope I'm not stepping on any toes here, but I gave it a try myself. What do you guys think?

As you wish. Even though a couple others have tried it already, I went ahead and did it myself, just for kicks.

Later, I'll also try popping it on your mannequin there Kurtyboy, if you don't mind.

Enjoy.

-EDIT-

Here it is. It's not perfect, but that's all I can do right now.

He looks a little pale for ANH Luke... he was very nicely tanned in the first part of the movie... and also... isn't his hair supposed to be more brownish in color instead of yellowish.? :eek

JRX - This is just as stunning as your Ben Kenobi 1:1 headsculpt.
You've well and truly raised the bar when it comes to 1:1 Star Wars busts.

My only criticism is the hair. It's the same problem that occurred on the bust that myself and Vos commissioned a few years ago. No matter what you do, the bust just won't look as real as it deserves to if you use the stylised technique for the hair. My advice would be to make him bald and use a real wig on it. With a good paintjob, some glass eyes and a real wig, this work of art would look JUST like Hamill did back then.

AMAZING work.

Yeah, I uploaded the wrong image by mistake. If you delete the old file from you temp internet files and re-load, it will have the correct image. It's a little less yellow, but still not brown.

Cheers,

MJC.

I for one, prefer the sculpted hair to a wig, as they rarely turn out all that great. Sorta like a large scale model kit. :)

Every time I leave my computer for a day or two amazing stuff happens. Great work. If your not doing this for a living then use your lightsabor on who ever hasnt hired you, you got talent.

I'll echo what others have said... another fantastic sculpt JRX. Well done.

I'll agree with Chris as well. I'd love to see this one bald with a wig.
