Muscle Suit Wip

I have been planning on making a muscle suit for almost 2 years now. Never got the foam because the only fabric store that carries large enough pieces has outrageous prices, so I snagged some from a cushion my family was throwing away. Any way my back is already close in proportion I just don't have the pecs of a predator. Nor the arms. I noticed that the suit would move a little awkwardly as one solid glued piece so I only glued where the muscles taper and attach to the shirt. I don't have a zipper yet so i can't do any test fits. 2 pics with and 2 pics without flash. Any criticism is welcome.

Looks like you are off to a good start. 

Will you be latexing it once the muscles are complete?

I am working on a similar muscle suit with foam, using a morph suit.  It is not the easiest thing to shape.

Seems to look pretty good, but it's really hard to tell with the big sideways pics.  Any way you can fix that and re-post them?  Looks like you're on the right track.

Thanks sulaco1967, I will be layering latex on the foam. This stuff is berry difficult to sculpt.

Wonky the pics are being taken with a camera on my phone, when I get back to my laptop I will try to fix them and get better pics. Thanks though

NP bud, sounds like a plan.  Remember, most of the back is covered by the backpack, medkit, and dreads.  Maybe a little would be okay, but there's really no need to go over board, unless you want to of course

I have been experimenting with freezing the foam and then sanding. I have cut out the pects and smoothed them off as best I could with scissors. I then soaked them in water on a plate and stuck in the freezer. A lot of the water sunk to the bottom however on first
try however the area that was completly frozen sanded a treat and am very pleased with the results. I have now put in the other pect and will repeat process, however this time I will re- soak it in water and freeze again' hopefully this will make the whole piece solid.

You should check out Tokyrose's thread if you have not done so already, it shows what can be achieved. He reccomends using a rotary sander for better results from frozen.

Ok, surprise wonko! The power button to my laptop is broken. Not shure how but hopefully i can get it fixed. Instead I took some test fit shots and am hoping they rotate the right way. I made arms for my dummy so I can't put the shirt back on it, have to put this zipper on, putting it on as I type this.

Decided I will build up the back just I between beefy and muscled. Kind of going for a more primitive take at an albino predator. Not Shure on the mask yet.

Sulaco, I just searched the thread and that is some crazy detail. The method I kind of accidentally came up with smooths out the foam pretty well, but I have 2 dremmel tools, have a piece freezing now to try it, thanks.

Well, found what's left of my latex half cured. Did what I could with it on the. Abs and pecs. Pulled out my cheap o plastic air in a can airbrush and started playing with the paint. Don't like it, think I'm goin with a grey black and red, with pale white muscles. Not shure also got the arms finished. Because I wanted the shoulders to flex I only glued some o the edges and underneath where the muscle would attach
