Muscle suit test

Here are a couple of pics of my muscle suit in the works. It is made of cold foam-sculpted muscles. This is just showing the bicep as a proof of concept. It flexes like a real muscle as shown. It is light weight and not too bulky. Let me know what you think!

Here is the muscle in foam. I should be able to pop them out pretty fast after I sculpt up all the pieces. That is going to be the most time consuming part. Then the casting.

looks good, i was going to have a go at a muscle suit for a spiderman suit.

Cant wait to see your progress

Looks really good...

Would you be taking orders in the future, maybe?
I bet some of us could do with a decent muscle suit for their spidey or whatever...

Nice work.

This is going to be for something like a Spider-Man suit. It is based on the type of muscle suit they used in Spider-Man 2. Seperate muscles work better than a one piece suit.

I will be offering them up when I am finished. Stay tuned.

Zod... lol :lol I am hearing that alot lately. I am growing out the beard for a pirate thing that may not come about so expect to see me back to 'normal' in a couple of months.

These muscles can be used for many different heroes. From Batman to Superman to Spider-Man it is all good. If you have decent muscles now these will make them look bigger. And if you are a wimp like me they make you look decent.

Looks very natural. Nice work. Will the separate pieces be connected somehow for the final suit? How are they kept in place? What size range of people would you guess they'd work for?

Again, nice work so far.

Thanks for the compliments.

To answer a couple of questions:

They are to be glued down by the owner to a shirt. Perferrably a compression like shirt. (Under Armor)

They are completely seperate from one another. Just like real muscles. They will work independently and will not make it too stiff to be useful.

These are based on my frame which is average 5'-10". If there is enough call for something a different size I will offer them up as well.

I may make another "over the top" set for those looking to be huge. This is not what this first set is for. It is just to give you definition under spandex that you otherwise lose due to the material not showing the muscles thru the fabric.

Very nice work. Definitely interested in hearing more about this project. What muscles exactly do you plan on doing? Is it going to be a full-up body suit? Or just an upper body? Just arms? Etc. Thanks for any additional information.

I`m interested - I could wear this down the Gym and hang out in the canteen eating cakes.

LOL.

that would be hillarious.

stand there and hit on chicks, tell them youve been workin on your lats... :lol

I plan on doing the Biceps, Pecs, Delts and upper rib cage to start. Then mabye the forearms, triceps and possibly legs.

I don't think there would be a need for more than that.

dont forget the shoulders too.

"dont forget the shoulders too."

For those who don't know, Biceps are the upper arm muscles, Delts or Deltoids are shoulders and Pecs or Pectorials are Chest muscles.

*cough*pectoral, not pectorial.*cough*

That said, it is interesting to see that they flex almost like muscles do. I'd be interested in seeing the bicep flexion when you have a deltoid in that suit as well. It looks good, but off without the delt there backing it up. Cool piece, keep up the great work.

Sorry for the mis-spell. I was almost late going onto my conf call and I was the host. I had to hurry it up.

You are right about the lack of a delt making it look kinda strange. With it not having anything to hit to flex like that it is great to see it perform like it does. With a bigger delt I am sure that it will make it look even more impressive. I still have to make a couple of moulds and then sculpt them up to see how they work together.

Without a one-piece body form it is hard. I really need to get/make one to make sure all of the parts line up and work together.

This was just a test. I will use this bicep only if it works with the rest of the suit.

id very much like to be kept in the loop as this would be ideal for a project of mine

sorry to go off topic here but Stampedemag your Avatar is intriguing me do you have a better picture
